Fantastically located in easy walking distance of everything, this hotel was ideal for our city break. The rooms were very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar had a nice atmosphere and the views are stunning. If I were to come back to Athens (which I’m sure I will) I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here.

This was our fourth visit to the Plaka Hotel and it has been consistently excellent value. We like it because it is a short walk from Monastiraki metro station providing an easy link to the airport. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet has lots of interesting options and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooftop bar has a good view of the Acropolis, a short walk away. There are lots of restaurants nearby but you can also eat in the new rooftop restaurant. We hope to visit again.

We checked in for our 7 night stay on 23rd of December. First impressions where positive, desk staff where very friendly and welcoming. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable. We didn't pay for an "acropolis view room" so our room was situated on the side of the buildind, but we had a small balcony that we could see the acropolis from. The rooftop terrace has an incredible views, especially at sunset. The hotel restaurant was nice, but a bit more expensive than others in the area. Breakfast was great, a nice selection of local food. The location was excellent. A very short walk to the main station, with direct trains to and from the airport every half hour or so. A reasonable walking distance to all of the major attractions in Athens and not far from a tram that will take you directly to the beach. I really enjoyed my time in Athens, this hotel and its staff really helped make this trip special. I would definitely recommend it and be happy to book again.

Just returned from a fantastic week celebrating new year in Athens. Fabulous hotel with central location. Spotlessly clean. A lovely breakfast is provided with plenty of choice, sets you up for the day. You must use the rooftop bar the view is spectacular and the drinks and food are gorgeous. Thanks to Eva for checking everything was OK every morning at breakfast and helping with ideas for locations to visit 😊 Massive thanks to the guys in the bar for making our stay so memorable. Would love to return.

Spent 5 nights in this centrally located hotel within easy walking distance to major attractions. Reception staff were very courteous and professional, always happy to help with any queries with a smile! Breakfast staff provided a wide range of items which were regularly topped up as required. The bedroom was cleaned daily and towels/toiletries replenished. Overall an amazing first trip to Athens. Efharisto to all 😊😊

The Plaka Hotel is in a great location very close to Monastiraki & Syntagma Square and so makes it convenient to see all the important historical locations nearby by walk. The staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well-maintained with a beautiful view of the bustling street below. The rooftop restaurant with the view of a lighted Acropolis in the night makes for a great date place :)

This hotel was utterly brilliant. The location is the best with bars, shops, restaurants, supermarket... everything you need close by. Our room, 312, was great. A partial view of the stunning Acropolis. The travel crib wasn't set up upon arrival however this was quickly sorted for us. We enjoyed wonderful cocktails in the bar overlooking the Acropolis. Service was brilliant. Breakfast was plentiful and service was good. The only issue was Monday where no staff was available initially to seat us and no clean tables but again this was promptly sorted. Lifts worked fine and easy to navigate with the buggy. Very pleased with this hotel and the service.

Plaka Hotel is everything you need for a short break in Athens. It is clean and modern, our room was immaculate and had a fantastic view of the Acropolis. Although central we were not disturbed at all by noise from the busy areas outside apart from the church bells on Sunday morning, which was a lovely way to wake up. The staff are friendly and knowledable especially Irina and Mary on reception, who were very welcoming. We had breakfast which was plentiful and tasty, staff working hard to keep everything topped up. Would stay again if we visit Athens (hopefully) again.
