Close to Acropolis and Plaka Market. Great for walking to the central spots the Parliament(guarding to tomb of the unknown soldier), Olympic Stadium and Acropolis all with a 15 to 20 minute walk. Great traditional restaurants around and the view of the Acropolis from the rooftop bar is impeccable!!
We stayed at this hotel 3 nights towards the end of our two week Greece vacation. We absolutely loved it. From the door man, front desk staff to the staff at the rooftop everyone was absolutely amazing, kind and so helpful with the very best service. The whole hotel is designed with so much detail and craft. The rooms are a work of art and convenient. The mattresses are the best we have ever slept on. The view from the rooftop pool and bar is breathtaking with a view to the acropolis and the city. . We recommend this hotel 100% close to everything and near Plaka.
Stayed over new year's for a short visit. Right in the heart of the Acropolis district across from the Acropolis museum. Downtown area a 15-minute walk. Rooms spacious and great shower. Modern decor. Breakfast good quality items. Minor quibble - only cornflakes and some sort of granola with chocolate bits available for the cereal section. Would have appreciated a larger choice. Young women in charge of breakfast courteous and welcoming. Wonderful experience overall.
This was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in awhile. I live overseas and am an avid traveler, and sometimes it’s not about how luxurious a hotel is, but how special they make you feel. Everyone from Billy at the door to Natalia behind the front desk, made my daughter and me feel absolutely wonderful! I didn’t get everyone’s name but they were truly fantastic. The customized omelette were so yummy, too!
This is the hotel that perfected our stay at Athens. The staff is attentive and hospitable. We felt like home the moment we were greeted. We had three nights stay with two having the acropolis view and another with museum view because of some blunder at our end but the hotel staff was so kind to arrange a free upgrade so that we did not have to change room midway. The acropolis view room is worth the extra euros paid. The balcony gives the most perfect view of the entire acropolis and the museum. In fact we felt that we were just part of the acropolis staying so close by. This is the tallest hotel in the vicinity that allows such spectacular view. We stayed in level 8. All the amenities were provided for with excellent mandarin scented hand sanitizers by Zealots. We were also gifted with a bag of refreshing drinks upon checking in. Hotel’s wide breakfast selection is Similar daily and we can also order eggs in whichever style we preferred. The roof top bar is stunning but we didn’t have the chance to dine nor swim there. Would consider if I visit again. If there is one hotel I would go, it would be Cocomat BC Athens. We stayed for another two nights after our trip out to Santorini. This time round we stayed at level 7 with a city view room. Room is just as comfortable but the view is surely different from the first we had. Logistically , it is just beside the Acropolis metro which is 3-5 minutes walk away. The walk there is brightly lit and lined with excellent restaurants till late evening like 10pm plus even in November. There is a good coffee joint just round the corner for one’s daily coffee fix. One flat white is priced at 2.10 euros.…
It’s my 2nd trip to Athens. Chosen to stay at COCO Mat Athens BC after reading reviews. Definitely one of our best decisions made for this trip. We booked and stayed in room 803 for 3 nights. The room which offers impeccable view of the Acropolis and the museum. We love it so much that we even had our dinner twice at the balcony. We came back after a short trip to Santorini and stayed in room 711 for another 4 nights with city view. City view room is good if you want to observe the kind of houses local people stay in. Otherwise we recommend paying for room with Acropolis view. The hotel is in a very good location with Acropolis, the museum, Plaka, Monastiraki and Syntagma all within walking distance. There is a metro station just less than 5 minutes walk on the right of the hotel for those who needs to travel with that option. On the right of the hotel entrance are restaurants which offer Greek food at reasonable pricing and large servings. Apart from the above, we are particularly impressed by the professionalism by the staff at the reception. They were always all smiles and it made our stay felt very welcomed and at home. The staff at the restaurant are also the same. It’s very pleasing to have the consistency in the level of service throughout. We had the opportunity to meet the owner of the hotel, Mr Paul after breakfast and we realised why that consistency is exhibited throughout. Mr Paul is just so friendly and down-to-earth. We felt so at ease even with the short interaction. Finally, we advise that travelers consider arranging airport transfers directly through the company recommended by the hotel. Great service and with peace of mind knowing that things are taken care of.…
After doing a ton of research of the hotels we should stay, during our tour of Europe, I settled on this hotel for the tail end of our trip. WOW! It was extremely nice and the perfect end to our trip. The hotel front desk staff was amazing. Before we knew it, they had taken our bags and delivered them to our room, without waiting around for a tip. They provided cold beverages and complimentary gifts, before we headed to our room with the amazing view. We loved the staff in the rooftop patio as well. So incredibly kind and accommodating. They pass our blankets at dinner for anyone who is bothered by the rooftop air. Pool was gorgeous. Everything was really nice!
We have traveled all over the world and the Coco_Mat Athens BC has the best customer service we've ever experienced. From the moment you enter the hotel, you can just feel the hospitality from everyone. The location is excellent; the Acropolis and the museum is within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We stayed in two different rooms; both were outstanding. The beds were super comfy and the rooms were very clean. The view from the roof is spectacular!!! We had drinks every evening, watching the sun go down with the Acropolis in the background. The breakfast had everything one could want, including made to order eggs and coffee. We can highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.
Great experience for a weekend. Good service and attention. We enjoyed the spa and breakfast. And the rooftop bar is one of the best places in Athens! You can enjoy a stunning view without any distractions. Also, the employees were always ready to serve and help. Highly recommended.
To sum it all up, the hotel service and its location made our Athens experience unforgettable. Easy to get anywhere in Athens: whether it is a walking distance to The Acropolis of Athens, the Plaka neighborhood. At the end, we actually walked everywhere. The room with its balcony was nice, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was wonderful, and above all the outstanding service. The hotel attendants saved no effort in helping us. To emphasize such greatness of its service is our case of a late night flight back home. The hotel services were open to us throughout the day, even the SPA shower was offered without even asking for it. We highly recommend the hotel, and for sure we’ll be back.
