Wow, what a great place! We stayed for four nights at the end of October. Location is fantastic, really close to the Acropolis and the restaurants of Plaka but also quiet and safe. Rooms are modern and high quality, with an excellent bathroom and shower. Breakfast was perfect for us with a good choice. Staff were amazing. Helped us with transport arrangements and restaurant bookings. Always friendly and keen to help. We’d love to return!

We stayed 3 separate nights over the course of our two week vacation in Greece. Each time we found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful, each room was great - we awesome showers and very comfortable beds. There also was a nice complimentary breakfast on the roof each day. The roof top bar was not open but the roof was accessible all day for a byob cocktail on the roof with views of the Acropolis. The hotel location was great for walking around the Acropolis and surrounding neighborhood.

Excellent staff! Rooms are spotless and well laid out. Excellent shower. Great breakfast with an amazing view of the Acropolis. Comfortable bed as well. The location of the hotel is literally steps away from Acropolis entrance and the museum. TONS of Cafe options right outside the door. The guys that work there are patient and personable and will take time to explain the local area to you. Shout out to the night guys working the front desk as they seem to really enjoy their job and providing suggestions.

The AD Luxury Rooms and Suites was disappointing. The name of the hotel is a misnomer as it is by no means a luxurious property. This is a two-star hotel charging four-star prices due to its location. We expected more. It is more of a B&B than a hotel. Pros: The location. This may be the best located hotel in all of Athens. That being said, there are several other hotels within a block or two that have better amenities at lower prices. The hotel is clean, and rooms serviced quickly. Cons: The hotel and rooms are very basic-even by so-called European “boutique hotel” standards. We were upgraded to a larger room but there are no dressers or even drawers to put clothes so you will be living out of your suitcase. The bathroom is small and very poorly designed. For example, the shower is not fully enclosed so you have to be very careful not to soak the entire room while trying to shower. The windows in the hotel are bolted shut so you can’t get any fresh air. The front desk has one tool for all guests you can use to unlock the windows but couldn’t find the tool when requested. The elevator was broken for two days while we were there, so you had to use a small stairway. There is only one employee at the hotel at any one time so don’t expect top notch service. Panos was very friendly and helpful, but the others not so much. They don’t have a secure Wi-FI and it was hacked while we were there and literally found others accessing our phones while we were using them! The breakfast is basic and the food often old and bread stale. We tried it twice but finally decided to have breakfast at one of the numerous restaurants in the area. In short, this is an old B&B that has been given a new façade, a coat of paint and not much else. We would not recommend it.
