Good and a clean hotel. Staff at he desk were very friendly and helpful, esp Frank, Harris and Antonio (5 stars). The breakfast was basic but almost sufficient. Its near the archaeological musuem and not too far from city centre.

Our taxi driver informed us en route to this Hotel that it wasn't in a great area, and having been there I have to agree with them. It was slightly shady at night and there were only a couple of decent restaurants within reasonable walking distance. Having said that the rooms were really good for the price and the staff...

My group and I stayed here for the first two days of our trip to Greece. The staff was the best part of our stay. They were very helpful and knowledgeable in guiding us around the city and recommending places to visit, eat, and shop around. The rooms were decent for three people but we found it particularly strange that...

We stayed here at the start of our cruise. The hotel is smallish. The elevator was so small that it only fit the 2 of us and 2 pieces of luggage. A new experience for us. Continental Breakfast was good with a mix of hot and cold food. Section is not large but very reasonable. The place is very close...

We stayed at this hotel for one night pre-cruise. For $60/night, you can't beat it. One thing I particularly liked is their bathroom. Unlike a lot of European hotels with a bathtub and a half-glass door, the shower is huge with a full glass door. There are not a lot of restaurants close by but it is only one block...

Areos hotel was hidden a little, but it is so worth it. We arrived pretty late at night and was welcomed warmly. The room and facilities were above expections! Breakfast was really good as well! Would stay again!

My friends and I recently stayed two nights at Rooms Areos (the Monicker on the building). It wasn't what I expected but it was okay for the money. Small elevator (2 people with luggage only), small rooms, times with showers didn't have a fully closing shower door, and some rooms didn't have a shower at all and only had tubs....

We had a quick stopover here on our first night in Greece before going to islands. Taxi took us to the wrong area before dumping us and no one seemed to know where it was! We got there eventually and once there they were friendly and helpful in reception. The room was clean and air conditioned. Nice restaurants close by....

Well first off, the main draw I had to this hotel was its excellent staff. Seriously, lovely people, and the cafe housed some of the finest examples of a human being I've ever met. The baristas took me into their arms when I was a poor tourist, frightened of the raging Athens nightlife, and taught me not to let the...

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
