My family and I booked this hotel through Expedia. We arrived after a long day of driving in bad weather. Imagine our dismay when we finally arrived at the hotel to find it, the gas station, and the restaurant completely abandoned! Windows were boarded up, some were broken. There isn't very many hotels in that part of the country. We...

I'm happy that I ignored my initial impression and decided to stay. Everything is from an age gone by but it has a cared-for feel about it and the room was clean and quiet. Had a comfortable night's sleep despite proximity to the Hwy. Free wifi, small fridge. TV. No microwave but Good Value for the money! Small restaurant on-site...

We stayed here recently while doing a circle tour of Lake Superior with friends. The hotel is old and the decor is 60's but it was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff at check in was friendly and check in/check out was quick. There is a diner next door along with a convienence store.

....just don't let the outside put you off. The rooms are small, but high pressure for showers, and plenty of parking and right off of Highway 17 if you are doing the Circle Tour. There is a restaurant adjacent which served great pizza. For a bunch of guys on a MC tour, this is a good place to go. If...

If you don't mind a very basic room, you will want to check into this motel. Yes, it's seen better days, but it's very clean, quiet, has a fridge, tv, a coffee maker, lots of hot water! It's got gas pumps and a restaurant nearby. We had lunch there and it was very good.

As must as this motel is a time travellers dream back into the 1970's, it was clean and comfy and quiet. For the value its a great price it your just passing thru on your travels. The restaurant was ok We had a dinner and a breakfast the next morning. Both meals were average but on the good side.

Stayed here on our trip around Lake Superior. Expectations weren't very high considering the price. Our room was dated but relatively clean. Shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Stayed in room #22 and we didn't have any problems with the room smelling like smoke.Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Clean room, basic (fridge included) but it was cheap so in all it was good value for money. The staff were helpful. There was laundry facilities for quite cheap. It was easy to find and despite the highway it was so beautiful. The locals are very friendly... Went for a walk and everyone waved or nodded hello. We were pleasantly...

The price was low and so were our expectations. First of all, the check-in person was very nice. Also, we ate at the on-site restaurant, and the food was fine. However, the room was really old and tired. The bed was firm, but the carpet was pretty yucky. The bathtub still had someone else's used facecloth and soap. The windows...

We did not have high expectations for this hotel given what we paid. We pulled up to find there were no cars in the lot. The building itself is run down. We noticed some rooms had newer doors and some had very old wooden doors. We couldnt find the office until we read the wooden sign that stated it was...
