We have stayed here for four nights. The rooms allotted was D-8 (Four Bedded) and D-10 (Double). The hotel was once upon a time a star rated one ,but not now a days. The room D-8 offered many challenges mainly the Bathroom. We have reported several issues in our bathroom and every time they have responded with a temporary repeat TEMPORARY solution for a few hours only. The toilet mirror was dirty and requires a cleaning. There are stains in the tiles of the toilet. The Cistern was faulty and the potty shower offers you a sudden shower. The room was definitely spacious. The TV remote was not fully operational. The Hotel offers free wifi . We have got password from the reception but was not able to connect for a single time during our course of stay. D-8 and D-10 is without any wifi. The service desk was good and helpful. They have attended our calls promptly. Breakfast was included in our tariff which was definitely good. The only point of staying here is the location and their restaurant.

We stayed here in Room No: C2 from 22/06-24/06/19 booked by us thru Goibibo. On Goibibo site this Hotel has been shown as 3 star. I don’t know what is their definition of 3*. Though room tariff and food items charges are near to star hotel but facilities, amenities are not atall to that standard. No newspaper, no cosmetic kit (moisturizer, talc powder, comb, oil etc.), no shaving kit. etc. are provided. However, there is tea/coffee maker but supply of Tea kit (No coffee sachet) is just for 1 cup per day per guest. Normally a guest used to take minim 2 - 3 times tea, to start with bed tea. On asking for extra tea kit, they straight away refused. I don’t understand, why then they have kept Tea/Coffee Maker on room, just for a show-off and to boost the tariff. Quality of Food items & Service are ok. Staff behaviour is also ok except 1 man at Reception Desk who was very rude and his attitude not to customer oriented. Room is spacious & clean. Buffet breakfast items are very limited. I will say this Hotel is not fulfilling the value of money paid for it.

1. Beds with dirty bedsheets and holes in it. When requested to change they started arguing that we have changed the bedsheet before checkin and now cannot change 2nd time in a day. 2. Towels were dirty and so old like haven't been changed from last 5 years. On asking for new towels they refused. 3. Rooms where dirty, poorly maintained. Wallpapers coming out. Zero room service. If we even called for extra tea coffea sachets it was denied. No one turned up for even hours of order for anything. 4. Toilets were also pathetic. So small geysers that the hot water will finish in just 3-4 minutes of use. Also D1 and D2 rooms had interconnected toilets. So u can hear loud noises of ur neighbours and also fowl smell. Really Pathetic. 5. We were 3 families. (4 senior citizens) our train got delayed by 12 hours. So we had to take alternative train to Deoghar. We made a request to the manager that now we will be reaching at 2.00 am in the morning so pls spare atleast 1 room for us we will pay the tariff also. He bluntly refused and said either stay in railway waiting hall or book another. We never expected this response. However, we took another hotel and 3 rooms for just 3-4 hours of rest in extreme cold weather of Deoghar. 6. Breakfast- super chaos and nuisance. Time 8 am to 10 am Status- restaurant not opened till 8.10 am Only tang juice present in buffet layout. Rest everything empty. Only one cook in kitchen and approx 18-20 guests waiting in the hall. Whatever the waiter brings used to be snatched by the other guests. It took us one and a half hour to have our breakfast. Never ever seen such a mess. 7. Moti Mahal restaurant- The only good thing of this hotel. We had soups and veg lunch. All was very good.

Response from suskumao, Front Office Manager at Hotel Rajkamal

No doubt Bed sheet was clean. I would like to bring your attention that we do not increase room tariff in peak season and it’s a regular tariff for all season. In the budget price we offer Complementary 2 bottles package drinking water, Bed tea set, Dove soap, Dove shampoo, buffet breakfast and 24 hours lift, AC and geyser services. We have offered your three times bed tea set and we refused it on 4th times because it was out of our budget. All rooms are equipped with V-gaurd 15 liters geysers which are quite enough for double bed. And it does not take too much time to reheat the water. We cannot place 25ltrs or 50 ltrs geysers which take too much time to heat the water and it is for home purpose not for commercial use. Genuinely tell me, It is our fault that your train got delayed, we were in heavy peak season and we had rush of bookings. You were asking rooms on 25th night and your check-in date was 26th Dec. You tell me how it was possible from our side. Although we have suggested you to check in @ 5 am on 26th Dec 18 without any extra cost. Our restaurant timing is 12 Noon to 11 PM (and Buffet breakfast timing is 7:30 am to 10:30 am) If you are having live breakfast please have patience. (27th Dec Breakfast menu: Poori, Sabji, Idly, Samber, Chautney, Veg. Sandwich, Jalebi, Tea, Coffee, juice, Boiled egg) If something goes wrong with you, please don’t put all blame on us. Fault reviews really impact our business and also misguide other travellers. We don't parcel Complementary buffet breakfast though we had parceled it for you. Thank You Kumar Saurabh Operational Manager Hotel Rajkamal Deoghar
