I booked with Booking.com and had a confirmation twice. I requested late check in due to late flight from Uk. I walked in and was not greeted but challenged by the night person - we have no rooms - I explained my reservation - he was adamant asked me to leave - At 2am I walked the streets of Porto...

It's pretty old, and more than a little shabby, but if you want a no-frills base in Porto then this is a good bet. We were on the third floor, and there's no lift, but exercise is good for you. the bed was comfortable (though a bit on the short side) the shower was hot and decent strength, and the...

the staff is friendly, but the room was cold and moist (imagine the crypt of a church, only w windows) w mold on the ceiling. no heating. cut my hand on the towel holder in the bathroom which has a sharp metallic egde. w mold cold and moisture, not even sure its healthy to stay. mb other rooms are better...

The pro's: Cheap. Good location, in the city centre, on the way to the train station. Big rooms. Clean sheets. The con's: Decadent building and furniture, almost depressing. Loud staff coupled with thin walls. My room's window opened on an indoor space where staff dwelled (no privacy with the window open), with just a rooftop opening (not easy to freshen...

It is an ok residencial, not the newest place but fair enough. We had a room on the second floor with a private balcony, the room was a bit dusty and we could smell it, old beds, old furniture. The private bathroom was clean but the sink leaked from under, it clogged, and the shower head holder was also broken....

I stayed with my boyfriend while backpacking in North Portugal. The room was not very clean, without heating and poor internet... But it's well located, near monuments and stations, all in all the price is fair...
