An historic hotel on sometimes lively Rua de Santa Catarina. The exterior is attractive and ground floor parlors are very elegant with high ceilings and antique furnishings, but above street level the hallways and rooms are spartan. Our bed was low and uncomfortable - I could

The hotel itself is gorgeous. Rooms: small, but with the high ceilings, large windows, and strategic use of mirrors, sliding doors and closet placement, you don´t really notice it. The bathroom was HUGE. Bathtub and shower, toilet/bidet (as seems common in Porto), tons of space

Having stayed here before some of the more recent renovations are welcome. A fine atmosphere with a fun rooftop viewing area (nice place for an evening glass of wine). Rooms were accommodating and clean. Staff was most accommodating. Location is good. Parking is a bit of a

The hotel can be hard to access by car as the street is closed off by retractable bollards which have to be lowered by the hotel (from the Reception desk). There is no parking at the hotel, though they do give you vouchers for reduced priced parking at a nearby multistory car

The hotel has a small garage with limited space and there are several public parkings nearby. Without knowing the number of cars and dates of your journey, we cannot assist you further. Please send us your questions to our reservation department email and we will be happy to help you find a solution.

I had an amazing grilled octopus at a place the hotel recommended right around the block: Restaurante Abadia do Porto. And Restaurante O Escondidinho was old school Portuguese but very good.

Hi, it is very easy to get from the airport to near the hotel by metro. You want the purple E line and you get off at Bolhao and just walk downhill a few hundred yards in the pedestrianized area to reach the hotel. Buy the ticket from the machine and VALIDATE it before getting on or you will be fined. There was a nice lady, who spoke English, from the metro company standing near the ticket machine at the airport metro station and she helped us. You have to pay about half a euro extra for the ticket card when you first purchase and then you hang on to this card and recharge it when you want to do subsequent journeys or return to the airport. Don't be nervous as it is very direct and inexpensive. The hotel is in this great area of shops and cafes - you will love its location as well as the hotel.
