I had to find a hotel quickly because of unexpected issues (nothing to do with Villa Garden). It was already 23h30 and the staff were helpful and accommodating even though I ended up arriving after midnight. The hotel itself is reasonably priced and has character, being in a historic building with pleasant gardens. It ended up being a welcome if unexpected stay. Recommended (even if you’re not making a last second emergency booking!).

Nice place with a good location, close to center without being there. The room was of good size and with all needed conveniences, dinner at the hotel was VERY good, breakfast was also good with good variety.
The service is good.

Nice renovated hotel at a 12 minutes walk from the city center. There are quite a lot of art objects displayed in the building that once was a mansion. There is a free parking on the premises. The pool is not so deep but nice to cool down after a warm day in the old city.

An old big house renovated into a cozy classy hotel. Small refreshing picine, nice view, classy breakfast. Good location 7 min to bus station, 10 min to downtown, 15 min to big malls and cinemas. Nice weather

I recommend that you take the breakfast option, it is spectacular.
A 10 minutes walk takes you to the antique town, which is fabulous, no need of a car.
There is manicure, pedicure and hairdresser just out of the Villa along with a shopping center within 5 minutes by car.
My gps didn't locate the Villa but my phone did, drive slowly the entrance is in a traffic circle.
The place is like and oasis in mid town.

Forget the characterless chain hotels, this gem is all about Portugal and offers really good value for money. Certainly its a little rough around the edges and perhaps lacks some of the more unnecessary facilities that the bigger hotels tend to provide, but it makes up for this with the friendliness of the staff, the ambient calm and the pleasing Portuguese character. Location isn't great but it's only 10 mins walk to the centre of Braga. Breakfast is typically European and no worse for that. Our standard room was fine for size and comfort. We would not hesitate to recommend and will certainly return.

The hotel is well located: 15 minutes walking distance to the city center and only 5 minutes by car. Classic rooms are very stylish and spacious. Breakfast is simply outstanding: all kind of fruits, salad food, sweets. People is very kind and helpful.

The room and bed were comfortable and quiet. because it was our anniversary they put red hearts all over the bed! The property was lovely with a small garden around it. Great breakfast. The hotel were very efficient and we used their address to get some import mail from UK. They Phoned us when our package arrived and we returned to collect it - all very smoothly done. Thank you so much. Also had a good restaurant with a great special at Lunch time 12.50e for all you could eat including wine and coffee.

We stayed here for four nights. Rooms are clean and housekeeping is done every day. I stayed in a room in the old part of the hotel and it was nicely decorated overlooking the pool area.
There are numerous pieces of modern art around the hotel.
Staff are helpful and pleasant.
The breakfast room is quite small and we had to wait for a free table on most mornings. There is a variety of food hot and cold.
We also dined in the restaurant and the food and service were good.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on September 2017. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. We found the staff friendly, efficient and definitely service-oriented. Additionally, the hotel is very close to downtown (could walk there in 7 minutes or so), and to the bus depot (some 5 minutes away on foot), the included breakfast was quite satisfying and the price simply unbeatable. This hotel is one of the best kept secrets in Braga.......................however, we were too busy to try the pool.
