Large complex on one of the town hills, ok pool snack bar and restaurant bar without fancy stuff. Apartments on the side of the building without ocean view but quite large and well equipped. Takes you about 10 min. to walk to the main street. Very nice massages, indoor heated pool, sauna and small gym.
The Four Views Baia in Funchal has a good location, near the city. Just 5 minutes Walking Downtown. One thing that could be disturring was traffic outside but if the balconydoor is closed there is no problem. Nice breakfast, a wonderful SPA and pool-area. Good dinnerbuffé and a nice bar!
Four Views Baia Hotel is a 4 star hotel about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Funchal. As with most places in Madeira that are not on the sea front it is up a hill so the return journey from the city on foot will involve some exercise. However, there is a free courtesy hotel bus that runs during the day from and to the hotel and seafront. Taxis and bus services are readily available but the walking will do you good. The hotel facilities are excellent. The outdoor pool is free to all guests. The gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and indoor pool are accessible for a modest €5 per visit. There is also a spa with treatments which my partner tried and thought really good. The breakfast offer is generous and caters to all tastes. Half board is available and the food is good quality and plentiful. (Thankfully chips or french fries are not on offer!) (We had the half-board package.) The rooms are spacious with a small balcony and nice bathroom with decent pressure shower. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi round of the package. Finally the key feature has to be the warm and helpful staff who made our stay a very relaxed and enjoyable week.…
We were impressed by the hospitality and efficiency of the reception staff on our arrival at the Four Views Baia. We had a seaview room. The restaurant was always busy but had a choice of food to suit all tastes and the staff were really helpful explaining the dishes in English as our Portuguse was limited. We enjoyed the variety of meals in the hotel restaurant. There are also some great restaurants in Funchal too. Nothing was a bother for any of the staff in this hotel. Our room was spotless and cleaned every day. We booked our package with Jet2 who got us to the hotel but that was the limit to their contribution....no rep at the hotel. There was a book and a phone number if you needed help!! This was where the brilliant hotel reception team came to our rescue. Recommending and booking trips for us and providing a lot of local information.(The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the centre of Funchal - 15 mins back because it is uphill) I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay in Madeira.…
Not much to talk about. Nice and clean. Okay breakfast if you don’t wait to long, buffets can bee a little ”messy” when not taking care of. Easy, hasslefree check-in and out. Good to be able to change dinner for lunchpacket. Dinner included, but we only stayed there two of seven nights. Quiet boring buffet, when Funghals restaurants offers so much to choose between. Nice view and quiet central even though the hills has to be ”Clumber” every day.
