Absolutely I recommend this Melba residencial for everyone!! If you want a cheap, lovely, quiet, safety, clean, comfortable accomodation, this is your place. This accomodation is not like a five stars hotel, but if you need a relaxing place with really friendly and helpful staff, you should go there, perfect place if you don't want to stay just in the...

Comfy little room & bed - Very clean. Nice location . Could do with more plug sockets. Breakfast adequate. Near enough to walk to town (20 minutes), but far enough away for it be not too noising. Traditionally decorated. Excellent Value.

Lovely place, lovely staff, well located and exactly what you need for holidays. Just wasn't happy with the bed, very hard mattress and that can really make a difference in your mood. Breakfast could have some bread to make toasts, rolls can not do the same.

The hotel is just a budget hotel, the price is cheap and it's OK for a couple of nights. The bedding is clean, but this is not for a relaxing break. The swimming pool was awful we did not go in as it was dirty with leaves on top and at the bottom also it was only half full. The...

I will most definitely go back and stay there. Friendly host always happy to help. Good rest in fresh sheets and clean atmosphere. Lovely breakfast with the best of company while listening stories and Madeira history. Good value for money.

Residential Melba is situated near the Monumental area of Funchal with easy access to the city centre. There are 2 great pubs close, The Local & The White House. The bedrooms are fine if a little tired. En suite rooms have a good hot shower but not even a tablet of soap is provided. Breakfast is ok, excellent bread rolls...

Good: cheap price, better than average breakfast, helpful staff. Bad: extra thin walls that allow to hear everything the person next door is doing, therefore making hard to rest - which you normally want on vacations - or feel you have privacy, a good half an hour walk to Funchal's center, which consider its tiny size it's a lot. Also,...

Turned up for our room which was booked in October and confirmed by Booking.com but when we arrived we were told there was a "problem". He sat in our car and directed us to another place where we stayed for the two nights. The place we stayed at was the Residencia Lucitania. This was ok but the beds creaked every...
