Nice welcome. Wonderful sea view room which was immaculate and on a daily basis remained that way. Good selection at breakfast. Very good location which I don't think could be any better. A went half board, but I now perhaps wished I had just gone b&b because there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. There is no... More

Stayed here for 1 night before joining a cruise ship and everything was great. The views from our room and the beautiful outside terrace were stunning. Our room was spotless and was kitted out with all modern equipment. We did have an issue with the internet which was very slow and kept cutting out. We went to the reception and... More

Just back from a week here. The hotel is beautiful to look at with stylish public areas and smallish but well decorated and furnished rooms (large shower but no bath). We had an end room on the 9th floor with a fabulous sea view and a view inland. Breakfast provided a good selection with garlicky chipolatas in the cooked breakfast.... More

Good things, the view from the balcony room. Watching the sun come up over the desertas Islands and the cruise ships, whale watching and tour boats. The breakfasts looking over the sea, the pool with a view and the shortcut to the "beach". Rooms impeccable, clean and comfy. Bad things, not many but there is a comedy coffee machine in... More

This hotel has recently been refurbished and upgraded from a three star category. It now has 4 stars though in my opinion pushing five. The staff are universally friendly and helpful and the rooms spacious, spotlessly clean and well appointed. The balcony overlooking the sea was a joy and it also looked down on the hotel pools - always in... More

We arrived at the hotel and were quickly given our room, which had a sea view. It was very modern and clean and obviously recently redecorated. Large wardrobe and a safe (which you may for on departure) There was also a mini bar in the fridge though we didn't use The beds were very comfy I have to say. Slept... More

We have been to Madeira on holiday a few times and always stayed in the same hotel. This time we tried something different and were very pleased. This is a lovely hotel. Because it is built onto the hillside / cliff the main entrance is on the 6th floor you walk into a huge marble reception with windows in front of you onto an observation / seating deck with unspoilt views across the sea. Hotel is beautiful and modern with good facilities. Let down by attention to detail and a ludicrous towel policy. Staff were ok although sometimes abit grumpy. The shower had no extraction fan, nowhere to put soap, the room had nowhere to hang wet clothes, constant minor niggles here and there which could be sorted if thought through. The hotel doesn't...
