This small hotel is set in it's own picturesque gardens which help create peaceful surroundings ideal for a relaxing break, the facilities on offer are first class and the staff were very helpful and attentive, we have just returned home after celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary at the hotel and we are not disappointed, we chose the hotel for it's...

Often one visits a hotel for the second time and, having had rose coloured spectacles the first time, finds that on a further visit the experience is less than before. Not so here. We stayed for nine nights during the flower festival. As in a previous review we stayed in a garden room, which we prefer to more expensive rooms,...

Having agonised over hotel choices, I was so pleased to have opted for quinta da casa branca. The other options were all so HUGE, or in the case of. Choupana hills, so remote. This is an exquisite boutique hotel with gorgeous mid- century architecture (the reception and bar are stunning), lovely rooms, perfectly manicured tropical gardens and a good restaurant....

You will love this hotel if you prefer understated luxury in a hidden garden setting to some of the other concrete Madeiran monoliths. Quinta da Casa Branca is beautifully designed; the gardens are stunning and well maintained. The plants are obviously treasured (unlike some at the botanical gardens) and there are labels of the many different species ( much appreciated)....

Just come back from a very pleasant and relaxing week at this Hotel. A modern design Hotel set in it,s own lovely grounds and approx 30 minutes walk in to the centre of Funchal. Rooms are excellent although they could be improved by adding tea and coffee making facilities. They are very roomy and have an excellent bathroom with a...

We have just returned from a week's much needed holiday at this Quinta. The place exceeded expectations and I struggled to understand the more negative reviews. I didn't find the furnishings 'tired' as some have stated - the sheets were crisp, the bed large and firm, pillows fine and the bathroom was spotless. The décor was just fine (what is...

This was our fourth stay at QCB and this time was just as wonderful as our earlier visits. The staff are really friendly, the gardens are beautiful, the food delicious and the service first class - nothing is too much trouble. It's a very civilised place to stay (in the best sense of the word). The hotel is not in...

I have rarely stayed at a more superb, or wonderful hotel! The location and setting of the hotel was good, the room was excellent and the staff were, without exception, friendly and very professional. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Only one other comment and that is it would be nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in all rooms.

I absolutely loved this hotel, the grounds at the Quinta da Casa Branca actually are Idyllic - unlike so many of the other hotels which use very clever shots to make their grounds look spacious. Staff are very friendly and helpful and do their job with a sense of humour. Breakfast was delicious, varied and plentiful - although staff do...

We are just back from a wonderful week at the Quinta da Casa Branca. The hotel is in a beautiful garden and it really felt like coming home after trips to levadas or downtown Funchal. The staff where very friendly and always helpful. It is one of the best hotels we have staid at including top hotels in Asia and...
