Pros: clean, comfortable rooms.
Cons: no tea/coffee in room, basic breakfast (virtually no hot food - not even bacon!), Restaurant only really serves pizza - ok, but not exceptional, location not really near anything useful.

Billed as Sintra - but actually a short drive away; we were advised to park at Sintra railway station and walk from there. Driving to Sintra itself is *not* a good idea.
Most disappointing aspect was lack of evening options - the hotel is essentially on an industrial estate, so there are very few restaurants or bars in walking distance that are open in the evening (though there is a 24-hour McDonald's nearby, if that helps).

We are a French couple from Montreal Canada, we did a trip of one month in Portugal this last October 2013 and we stayed in 17 hotels. We stayed at this Ibis 1 night October 21st 2013. We went to 4 Ibis hotels and we all appreciated them. For sure, this is not real “Portugal” life but for people from America, sometime it is good to have “western” comfort. Price: 39 Euros without breakfast. The breakfast is 6 Euros each person and is good. Pros: room well organized with a large table to work on, comfortable bed, quiet (you hear nothing from the other rooms), Cable TV with a lot of channels (English or French, etc.), free Internet Wi-Fi in the room, free parking available, bathroom with a counter to put your bathroom supply. Cons: very small room, far from old city you need a car. We highly recommend that hotel

We asked for a soup, breads and water at the Ibis Kitchen. As they have a limited menu and we are vegetarians, I ordered by Uber Eats a vegetarian food for us. When I got it and sat again with my boyfriend. The frontdesk was at our table and said we couldn't eat anything ordered outside the hotel. It was cold 13C and they just had an external area without proper roof and not heated. I said we couldn't eat outside freezing and he said it was not his business. Then we asked where was the rules about not eating food ordered outside and he said that's not written but it doesn't matter because there is anything allowing us to eat inside. We fell awful! I've been in many hotels of the Accor chain but that was our first terrible approach like that. Extremely intolerant because despite we did not agree him, we didn't refuse to obey "the rules". He suddenly showed up again while I was checking online about our rights as a costumer and he said he had called the hotel director whom assured the hotel rule to not allow us to eat inside Ibis Kitchen. The first point we're not deaf or people with a cognitive impairment , we did got the message at the first time, what we told him to leave us alone because we're not eating anything. I was just with the package on the table. I'm a Platinum Loyalty Client Program and I can't describe what disappointed treatment at this hotel. Diogo is a rude, impolite, impatient and unprofessional frontdesk. Surely we never come back to Ibis Lisboa Sintra hotel. We've registered our bad experience but we know that's probably a wasting of time book... It's not about the hotel rules it's about how you treat and approach your guests. It's about the professional way you can handle situations and not arguing costumer with harsh answers. We ended up having cold dinner at the hotel room because we're a couple and the room had only one chair. So as we appreciate some dignity when having dinner, we waited an extra chair. We consider eating food on the bedroom not our trip priority.

We stayed here for 1 night and used it as a base for exploring Sintra. We arrived early and asked on the off chance if we could check in early which we surprisingly managed at 11am!
There is a bus stop outside the hotel with regular services to Sintra.
The hotel is clean modern and comfortable typical Ibis.
We had breakfast which again was standard IBIS.
The hotel staff were exceptional nothing seemed to much trouble!

This hotel was better than expected, and better than the typical Ibis. Certainly for the price it is excellent. The rooms are not large but completely adequate, there is a good work desk area, the bed was comfortable, wifi worked well, the room was very clean, and the underground parking (extra cost) was good. The only thing I really missed was a refrigerator in the room.

As others have mentioned, the hotel is in a commercial/industrial area, meaning that access from the freeway is very good, but access using public transit is poor. Really you shouldn't consider this hotel unless you have a car (although one of the people in our group did come from Lisbon by train and walked from the nearest train station, about a 45 minute/3.5 km walk, although with no luggage - so access is possible by public transit but not recommended).

The breakfast was surprisingly good for a budget hotel - boiled eggs, cold meats and cheeses, yogurt, various fresh fruits including very good oranges, cereal, various danishes and croissants, etc, plus juice and coffee.

Overall, this was one of the better Ibis hotels I have stayed at, but it really only works for people with a vehicle.

I was staying in Ibis Sintra for first time last night. It is a very nice, modern hotel with good quality for the price that is charged. The room is quite spacious for 2-star hotel. It has very comfortable bed with convenient pillows and duvets that are not causing allergies. There is enough space to put clothes in the wardrobes. The bathroom is small, but enough for everything. The quantity of towels is fine, I didn't have to request more. The shower is also spacious, and easy to use, even for a person with minor disabilities. The shampoo and shower gel is provided, and it has good quality.

The room has nice wooden floor, big window, that you can open a little bit, well working A/C, and small LCD tv. It has also plenty of light. Only thing that I could change is the intensity of light, which could be smaller (or there could be more options to change the light). However, I have nothing to complain about.

The breakfast is really tasty, and has many options - I think that everyone will find something for himself. There is big variety of products.

The staff is nice and friendly, they help with everything you could ask for. The parking lot is also enough for everyone. I have a big car and I could park easily there.

Thank you for a nice stay! I will come back for business reasons every week, and I am grateful for good price, amazing location of your hotel, and loyalty card that I have been given for free.

Typical no frills Ibis Hotel. Clean and simple. Parking on the street level is free but in the underground garage would cost 3 euro per night. Breakfast was only so-so but convenient as there is not much around unless you drive into Sintra. We also had dinner in the restaurant. All microwaved food...but good microwaved food!

The Ibis Lisboa Sintra was a nice place to stay. The staff were nice and helpful. The hotel was clean and tidy the same as the room. The restaurant was ok for breakfast and evening meal. There was plenty of secure parking.

I'm not sure what I was thinking when I booked this hotel, but when I walked in I began to wonder...

The hotel rooms are VERY basic. If you're from the US, you can think about the Red Roof Inn or a renovated Motel 6. The beds are really tiny (although VERY comfortable) and there isn't much space to stretch out anywhere other than the lobby. The bathroom is also compact, but it serves its purpose. Another thing to note is that the hotel has free parking, but it is pretty limited. If you arrive late at night expect to have to park in the garage and pay (I believe it was 5 euros).

The one great thing is that the breakfast offerings are very good. If you're driving into Sintra like I was and want a basic hotel with a good free breakfast you should consider this one.

Hi. Am sorry I never had a car therefore was't looking at car parking facilities. I suggest that you ask the Staff at the Ibis. They will be able to advise you. The couple of times that I used the train I got a taxi from the hotel. Enjoy your travels
