The service was great, the room was very original and very big. I enjoyed every bit of the experience. The garden was beautiful with lots of amazing parrots. Highly recommended, specially for a romance weekend.

Indeed quirky it is, this Quinta. The garden was the best part, amazing Angel Trumpet (Brugmansia aurea) trees, have never seen them so big. They are from the nightshade family, and usually occur in the warmer parts of South America. Sintra is truly a magical place!

We were 3 kids and 2 parents and stayed in a sort of suite with kitchen right off the entrance. The staff went out of the way to be friendly and gave my son who was hungry a sandwich. The breakfast was delicious and the kids played with the birds and animals to the garden. The staff went out of... More

This is a very quirky unusual guest house. The staff were all very helpful. Our room was called 'the romantic room' which had a magnificent view of the beautiful gardens. The room was very clean and we had clean sheets and towels every day. The choice of breakfast was amazing and provided a good choice for everyone. We had to... More

We stayed two nights at the hotel and we liked the atmosphere. The room is a good size and very clean. Easy to access the center of Sintra, about ten minutes walk. Breakfast is also good and diversified. Very pleasant to use the pool when the weather is hot and damp! The garden is a plus for relaxation.

an ancient palace house with awesome staff, a great spot in the heart of Sintra :) well decorated rooms, clean, good space, nice breakfast and lots of exotic birds...From there you are a walking distance from all the places in Sintra. I will return, no doubt.

We came to Quinta das Murtas with little expectations - it was a good price and they seemed nice when we made the reservation. The reviews here about parrots and stuff intrigued us, but once there, we realized they didn't paint the whole picture. We loved it so much we actually extended our stay in Sintra and QdM was the... Large old manor house.....sort of hippie meets retreat. It 's not easy to find but well worth a couple of night. Parking is readily available and worth its weight in gold in Sintra. 500m from the main town.....down a rather steep hill.....and up again at the end. We were in a top floor room....O.K. it was small, but we were... More

We stayed just one night in this B&B and I do have a bit of mixed feelings about this place. The B&B is hard to find, so do bring a map or use your smart phone to navigate you. It took us around 15 minutes to get there from the train station. We were smarter after sightseeing and took a... More
