The room is good size and convenient. Bed and pillows are very relaxing and hot water always available. I stayed at the last room at the corridor and Wifi was very good. Location of the hotel is super excellent near metro, Rossio train station and near tram station to Belem. Very satisfied with my choice. Recommended!

The hotel is centrally situated and is near to a Metro station which is handy for the airport. It is also close to a tram stop for tram 28 which takes you round Lisbon and is very good. The breakfast was excellent as was the service of the staff on reception, both people we dealt with spoke very good English....

This hotel offers good value for the price. I paid 70 Euros for two nights for a single room (got a room with two twin beds though) which had an attached bath with shower and tub. The mattresses were fine so were the pillows. Sheets, towels etc were changed everyday and room cleaned. The location is perfect, Rosio metro and...

Short review:- Would we stay again, answer yes! Long review:-We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for one week during the run up to Christmas. Having visited Lisbon before, but only on day trips during Summer months, we decided that there was so much more to see and do, plus it would be nice to see what it...

I stayed here as part of an organised tour. On the plus side it was very clean and had really good aircon. However, the negatives outweigh the positives with this place - there is a lot of stairs to climb up before you can access a lift which is not ideal with luggage. The male receptionist was unhelpful and unwelcoming...

Only stayed for one night with the family but it was definitely worth it. Beds were very comfy and spacious. Breakfast was a buffet therefore a good selection to choose from. Staff were very nice and friendly. Good location as you are right in the centre of Lisbon and easily finding your way around. Would definitely comeback for more days.

This small pensione is superbly located close to the heart of Lisbon .... everything is within walking distance. The rooms and ensuite are clean and there is a small bar and lounge beside reception. They do not serve breakfast but there is a supermarket and many restaurants in close proximity. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lounge area.

Our room was facing away from the street so it was very quiet. The A/C made quite a bit of noise but if you didn't use it the room was quite peaceful. The wifi was slow and a bit unstable but it was there, and it was free. The room itself was dated and tired but clean and well maintained....

Upon arrival you are faced with a large flight of stairs to the first floor reception where the lift is also located. Guests need reasonable mobility. The whole hotel could do with a real makeover, it is just too tired. The room was quite large and the bathroom was just average. We did not have breakfast there, but the adjoining...

Simple hotel with large rooms and bathrooms but just a bit tired. Good for what we needed and perfect location close to the main areas and within walking distance of everything. As others have mentioned, no lift until first floor with lots of steps and so-so breaky.

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
