We booked an entire month at an apartment owned by this company. The ad said it slept 4 but it barely accommodated the 2 of us. The staircase from the street to the apartment/ up 3 floors, is more like a ladder. The stairs can't fit an entire foot, so it is more like a ladder. The double bed foam...

We stayed in the first floor apartment in Calcada Dos Barbadinhos. It is a little way from the centre, in a quiet residential street, but an easy walk to the Alfama once you get used to the steep cobbled streets. However, if you want bars and restaurants on your doorstep, this isn't the place for you. Once you have worked...

We booked the one bedroom 2001 Bela Vista Apartment in leafy Estrela just a few steps away from Tram 28 stop and very central. The flat was beautifully renovated, modern and clean throughout but keeping old features. It is situated in a quiet side street, has its own courtyard and a small balcony out front, the bed was very comfortable...

In the old town beside the San Vicente cathedral - Right on the #28 tram line - 15 minute walk to downtown/Rua Augusta - Mini mart/butcher shop a few blocks away. Lots of up and down streets and becos/alleys, some quite steep, so if your legs are feeling poorly this is not the place for you - Plenty of cafes...

What a great 4 days in Lisbon's Alfama! This apartment is peaceful and secluded, but still so near the hustle and bustle of one of Lisbon's most authentic experiences. Our apartment had it's own roof top terrace with a great view. Great to have laundry right in our apartment too! Steps away from great attractions, great local food and an...

Stay in Alfama. In the hill of Alfama with view over the big and beautiful Tajus river makes this place an excellent place to stay in the heart of Lisabon. Within two minutes walk you can take the famous and antique tram 28 that takes you along the city center. Enjoy the ride and spoil your eyes as you travel...

Stayed in Conceico. It's a small apartment. On the ground floor is the kitchen and a small couch. The bedroom is on the first floor, but it the biggest advantage is the rooftop terrace. The apartment is located in a very narrow street, close to the Principe Real park / square. Within 10 minutes you are in Bairro Alto. There...

Stayed Mosteiro IV . The location is excellent but keep in mind that it is near the top of one of Lisbon's hills. It is in a quiet area but only a short walk from the Graca centre for local shops, etc. Tourist shops start fairly close on the downhill side. Trams great, and stops close by. Telephoned 40 minutes...

We stayed in Chiado V, 5a. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, though the decor is basic IKEA and things like the chipped china and stained kitchen towels should be replaced. The living room and larger bedroom overlook Rua do Carmo and were delightful in the daytime, but too noisy at night with terrible street musicans who played the same...

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
