Wonderful stay, clean and confortable room, delicious food in the roof top restaurant with amazing view over the bay. All staff extremely friendly and helpful. To be recommanded without the slightest doubt. Should we come back to Lisbon, we will not hesitate to book again. Thankyou for making us feel so welcome.

We booked this hotel on the basis of "a room with a view". However the room we were allocated (C2) was on the lower ground floor and the view we had was only glimpsed between concrete walls and roofs. The room itself was O.K though very small and the shower room very cramped. Not really worth the money. On the plus...

We stayed here 1 night after arriving from the US. Lovely location with easy access to the mercado and other sights in Lisbon. The staff were very responsive via email--and very helpful once we arrived-obrigado Miguel! If you are staying for more than 1 night and have lots of luggage, I'd recommend going with a larger room--as other reviewers have...

This is a great hotel in a good location with lovely views across the river. The roof top restaurant serves great tapas and wine with brilliant views. The staff are very helpful and take a lot of time to ensure that you get the most out of your stay. Being housed in a former perfume factory the rooms are quirky...

Spent 3 nights in this great hotel. Located in the Santa Catarina neighborhood just below the Barrio Alto area, it was super convenient for night life and restaurants. Also near a metro stop coming from the airport--a little confusing getting there the first time, but super easy after you do it once. Katarina supplied great info upon our arrival-----with a...

My favorite hotel so far in Europe, they deserve every 5 star review! The staff are extremely nice and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and are always offering advice/local tips. At check in they helped us map out a trip to the Algarve and gave a lot of great suggestions that ended...

We stayed here for a long weekend at the beginning of April and couldn't have picked a better hotel. From our arrival, to the moment we left the staff looked after us as if we were the only guests, such personal attention. The hotel itself is lovely and has incredible views from the roof terrace restaurant. The breakfast was very...

Definition of boutique hotel. Glass doors, shiny elevator, silver fixtures, built right into a centuries old building. The highlight is the breakfast on the roof deck. Surrounded by glass and a 360 view of the bridge, city and water. The orange juice is amazing. The spread they had put out was perfect. Meats, cheeses and pastries all great. One of...

We stayed in this hotel during a rainy weekend. In spite of the weather having spoiled a bit our holidays, the wonderful time spent in the hotel made up for that. The hotel is clean, beautiful, with character and with views. The staff are very friendly, caring and helpful. They even provide, every morning, a little plan on places to...

This was my first time in Lisbon and I'm so delighted with the hotel we chose. The rooms were extremely clean, the food lovely, and the staff so super helpful! Even when on one of our evenings it bucketed down with rain one of the staff helped us out with a lend of an umbrella, little things like this go...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Some say it has the best view of Lisbon! From our panoramic restaurant where breakfast is served every morning for our guests, you will not be indifferent to the Cristo Rei embracing Lisbon, the river Tagus [Tejo], the 25th of April Bridge with lights showing where the Atlantic Ocean begins and also the Basilica da Estrela that stands out between the rooftops of Lapa… However, the main feature of Monte Belvedere by Shiadu is not simply its amazing view! Its 13 rooms, some of which with a magnificent view of the river Tagus , have all the comfort you need for an unforgettable stay and our dedicated staff will welcome you, making you feel as if you were at home. Every day you will enjoy our delicious home-made breakfast prepared just for you! Near Monte Belvedere by Shiadu you will find the Northwind Statue [Estatua do Adamastor] (fictional character created by Luis de Camoes, in his master works The Lusiadas). The higher part of Santa Catarina is one of the most beautiful places of Lisbon and only two steps away from the city buzz. With views over the river Tagus it is said that since the 17th Century this plateau, once known as Monte do Pico or Monte Belvedere, is famous because of its lookout point. According to legend throughout the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, from here one could see the moving ships: this is why still today there is a proverbial saying that is: “Ver navios no Alto de Santa Catarina” [“Watching the ships from the top of Santa Catarina”). Follow your instinct and we will be waiting…. ... more   less
