Our room had a wonderful view of Lisbon and we were able to view the cruise ships coming in each day since we were high enough in Lisbon and it offered a great view of the city as well. The staff was exceptionally helpful and they took the time needed to point out interesting sites all around the city. We...

It was our honeymoon so they treated us to champagne drinks. Room was ok and bathroom was a decent size. Breakfast at Madame Petisca restaurant with great views. We had an early flight so they prepared a breakfast carry bag, which was really sweet and kind touch. Location is superb with easy access to local attaractions and pretty sunset views...

Perfect location, lovely room extremely clean and everything you need for a super stay. The rooftop restaurant with its amazing views over the river Tejo, in the morning serves a nice, fresh and delicious breakfast and in the evening serves the most gorgeous Tapas food. Rita, Raquel and the rest of the team make this hotel outstanding, they go out...

The location is perfect, the rooms good, and we had the additional advantage of a group of three rooms together. The rooftop bar is a lovely place to meet and eat, but the best bit is the staff who went out of their way to make a birthday surprise even better.

Nice and very clean hotel with a great view on the top the hill with a good bar and restaurant. In ten minutes you are down at the Mercado with delicious food and five minutes more at the seafront with bars and restaurants.

Staff was extremely friendly and the hotel also offers transfer services from and to the airport. Rooms are spacious, have air conditioning and...

I stayed here three years ago and loved it. I returned this March with my girlfriend. The welcome and service we received from Maria was exceptional but unfortunately the Kitchen service was poor. the crockery was chipped and the food was served cold and late which was a shame as had it been warm it would have been great ....

Located at about 10 minutes walking distance from the Baixa-Chiado metro station downtown. We received a nice introduction briefing from our friendly hotel collaborator Raquel, so we immediately reveived all the important infomation about tourist hot spots throughout the city. Rather small rooms, but everything was perfectly clean. We opted for a room with street view and with the windows...

If you are looking for somewhere convenient, easy and no trouble, this is the place for you. Very clean , great bed, spotless bathroom with good strong hot shower. Staff helpful and courteous and a good buffet breakfast with plenty of fruit and immaculate rolls, croissant and coffee. Magnificent views over the river from the breakfast room/restaurant. Very good.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Some say it has the best view of Lisbon! From our panoramic restaurant where breakfast is served every morning for our guests, you will not be indifferent to the Cristo Rei embracing Lisbon, the river Tagus [Tejo], the 25th of April Bridge with lights showing where the Atlantic Ocean begins and also the Basilica da Estrela that stands out between the rooftops of Lapa… However, the main feature of Monte Belvedere by Shiadu is not simply its amazing view! Its 13 rooms, some of which with a magnificent view of the river Tagus , have all the comfort you need for an unforgettable stay and our dedicated staff will welcome you, making you feel as if you were at home. Every day you will enjoy our delicious home-made breakfast prepared just for you! Near Monte Belvedere by Shiadu you will find the Northwind Statue [Estatua do Adamastor] (fictional character created by Luis de Camoes, in his master works The Lusiadas). The higher part of Santa Catarina is one of the most beautiful places of Lisbon and only two steps away from the city buzz. With views over the river Tagus it is said that since the 17th Century this plateau, once known as Monte do Pico or Monte Belvedere, is famous because of its lookout point. According to legend throughout the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, from here one could see the moving ships: this is why still today there is a proverbial saying that is: “Ver navios no Alto de Santa Catarina” [“Watching the ships from the top of Santa Catarina”). Follow your instinct and we will be waiting…. ... more   less
