Right in the centre of lisbon, could not better the location. Large room facing street on 1st floor, my partner found it bit noisy, with the old tram no12 (worth doing rather than the tourist rip off red one!) going past the window but part of the charm of the city. staff helpful, breakfast good choice, very blue decor you... Spotlessly clean, spacious rooms. Atmospheric in a funky modern way with a cave-like breakfast area in the basement - very cool n relaxing! Absolutely great location, walking distance from everything - the river, shopping, nightlife, restaurants, the castle, etc. etc. Stayed there with 3 girlfriends, in 2 twin rooms with plenty space. One person found the street/traffic noisy in the... More

The Tejo has a Boutique Hotel lobby for a 3 star hotel. Part of the Evidencia chain.Reception is uber-friendly especially Fatima. We were booked through the airport's Lisboa kiosk and weren't sure what we were getting for 75 euros. After jetlag, we were book in a room facing the street. We didn't sleep all night- drunks outside. We complained and... More

I'm wondering if reviewer Barbie 334 stayed at the similarly named Tivoli Tejo Hotel, as during our 6 night stay we saw no evidence of prostitutes, and the hotel is right by a main plaza with a staid character. The location was a highlight of the hotel, easy to walk to many sites, easy to sneak back to for a... More

Having spent four days in Portugal travelling round we required a hotel for the night before travelling back home to the UK. I was given the details of the hotel Lisboa Tejo at the Lisboa Airport, and assured of a quality hotel set in the heart of Lisboa (Previously I had been visiting other Cities and only spent a day... Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
