Stayed for 2 nights in April. Hotel foyey was a building site so had to gain entrance from the side of the building. The hotel staff were warm & welcoming & helpfull with metro info & football tickets. The rooms are light & spacious with a natural feel. All rooms had a small terrace with french door access. There was...

This hotel is very central and close to metro and buses. Unfortunately it is undergoing renovations and you don't get the full hotel experience. Reception is a stand at the top of a stairs. The breakfast room is accessed by another entrance, E7 per person, offers the usual continental options. The room was great, very clean and spacious. No view...

Unfortunately the hotel was going through a major refit so only half the hotel was open, but that half was very nice. The bar was out of action but we were directed to the hotel 200 metres away that had a lovely roof top bar with views of the city that we would not of visited without the concierge advice....

Everything was great, the courtesy, education, respect, attention and great service of the staff. Rooms very clean and a very comfortable bed. Made my stay of six days perfect. I recommend and I'll stay there one more time.

The hotel is situated perfectly as a base to explore Lisbon from. A metro station is located a two minute walk away in the praca de figueria as well as tram and bus stops and the starting point is two open bus tours. The room, although slightly in the small size was clean. The bed was comfortable and I couldn't...

The hotel is on very good location, in the center of Lisbon. A good 3-star hotel. I had a nice, comfortable room with mini bar and safe, but I missed tea/coffee facilities, I could borrow the kettle from the reception and give it back after use, as they probably have only one. The staff is very pleasant, especially Mrs. Rita,...

We booked this hotel because of the location - right in the heart of Lisbon. We were given a room in the new section of the hotel and it felt brand new! Very bright room with white furnishings, beautiful bath with combination rainfall & regular shower heads. The bed was very comfortable. We were on the 5th floor and right...

Like someone else said, for what I paid I wasn't expecting such a good hotel. The rooms seem newly renovated and very nicely designed. Very clean. Plenty of outlets for chargers. Nice rainhead shower. Friendly helpful staff. Perfect location near Figueres and Rossio squares. Every possible transportation option nearby including airport bus. Tons of restaurants nearby. Excellent breakfast. Good convenience...

The location is it perfect for explore Lisbon. A lot of objectives are close to the hotel, also the tram station and metro station are near by. The room where I stayed was big and clean, they clean the room every day. The breakfast was good and you can choose from different kinds of food. Absolutely recommend.

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
