ZUZA guest house is a perfect location for sight-seeing in Lisbon. Anna and Luis are very friendy and obliging hosts. The breakfast was delicious and in a nice atmosphere with the hosts and the other guests. Our room in the 3rd floor with access to the terrace offered a spectacular view over Lisbon.

We have been to Lisbon in August this year. We arrived at Zuza Guesthouse early in the morning and got a warm welcome. The staff is absolutely friendly and caring, they seem to love to have guests around! Check-In was at 3pm, but we could leave our baggage at the guest house. Luiz had a surprise for us: we got... We enjoyed our stay. The room was quiet and dark (when it needed to be). Great location; near historic area of Lisbon. The manager was attentive and helpful! We lost a hat and he called the restaurant for us. First time experiencing a bed and breakfast in Europe as a couple! Great way to start our honeymoon.

Modern and tasteful furnished appartment with large rooms, equipped with all necessary things and good breakfadt. Located in the heart of Bairro Alto still in walking distance to the very city center. Very friendly owner who helped us with every request, provided us with a mobile phone during our stay and allowed a late check out. Nice breakfast prepared daily... More

My dad and I stayed in the suite for 6 nights and we would highly recommend it. The appartment is cute and small, with everything you need. The kitchen in the suite is not so equipped, but there is a shared kitchen upstairs if you need it. There you also find the coffee machine which makes great bica's (espresso)! The... More

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
