The good: Excellent service: the staff is very friendly and helpful. Central location, with public transportations nearby. The not so good: The rooms are small, and it's visible that the hotel has some years.

Decent enough hotel for a reasonable price. I was only staying one night, so just needed the basics - close to a metro, ensuite double room, good reviews, and the Residencia Imperador provided that. The location seemed very business / office focused, so not much of interest around the hotel. Hotel was quiet, although I could hear some TV noise...

Location by Saldanha metro is good, although this is more of a business area so many things are closed on weekends. I stayed in 3 different rooms in this hotel. The bathroom smelled funny in each. One room was great. Big bathroom, big room, mini fridge and tv. One room had no fridge and a much worse tv. Value was...

Ceiling of room is very high so you have a cathedral effect, i.e. noise is amplified, you hear noise from nearby rooms almost as if it was in your own room. As people of the neighbor room was talking loudly and hearing TV until 1AM, you can imagine how good my night was there. Doors are also slamming all the...

We had an enjoyable 3 night stay here. Staff very helpful and friendly, room comfortable and clean and reasonably quiet. Breakfast adequate for the price. Close to Gulbenkian Museum (well worth a visit) and the Metro.

My wife and I spent 2 weeks in the Residencia Imperador in July 2010. The hotel was recommended to me by my family in Lissabon. Rooms are comfortable, very clean, people at the reception are fine and price is a bargain (50€ per room). Beds are OK with TV, shower and Airco (although in July, we did not need to...

It was recommended by my Portuguse friends who live in the neighbourhood. Everything was satisfactory and the room was at 40 euros 5 t0 10 euros cheaper than comparable hotels. The taxi driver from the airport had difficulty finding it because it calls itself Residencia Imperador and I called it hotel. It is a couple of kms from the centre....

Room looked OK but this was a cold day in Lisbon and the heating did not work. The hotel personnel tried to fix it without any success. Despite that value for money was in principle OK, the heating issue was quite disappointing. Besides that good location at a reasonable price.

Altough located somewhat out of tourist city centre (look on map for Saldanha Sq north of Pombal) this hotel is very convenient for those who have to participate in congresses held in the otherwise difficultly reached CC of Belem : bus 727 runs every 11 minutes and CC is reached in 1/2 to 3/4 hour. Also on Saldanha : bus...
