We spent 3 nights in this hotel and our first impression was horrible. After 20mins driving around, we found the the place to park (very small and hard to find). There is nobody to receive you in the parking lot. We had to take our bags by ourselves and take the stairs. I dont complaint to take a bag, but...

I stayed here for 3 nights for business. The beds were good, but the aircondition was very noisy. The rooms are nice and spatious, breakfast reasonable. Staff was very helpful and knowledgable.

We were staying in this hotel which is five minutes by taxi from Lisbon airport (one ride by taxi to hotel about 5 EUR) at the beginning and at the end of our holiday in Portugal. The hotel is convenient located close to EXPO area, ocenariu, Oriente train station, metro station Oriente, river water front full of restaurants and shopping...

Great location - next to Orient subway station, Vasco da Gama Mall, Lisboa Casino and Parque das Nações - this chain hotel offers great deal regarding the room rate. Nice breakfast, nice room (despite old carpet) and staff just ok. Stayed with family (9 people) and nothing to complain at all. I strongly recommed this hotel.

I was on a stop over from the airport and so found the location attractively close (only a 5 minute journey). Clean rooms, average size, average hotel. One negative point, there was a party which played music till late (11pm), which apparently only occurs annually. As I had a plane to catch in the morning it was quite disturbing. I...

Rooms with passable standard and usual mid-class equipments/features. Room size average. Interior of rooms functional and clean. Frint desk staff attentive and no excessive waiting time at check-in /-out. The staff in the lobby-bar was not as attentive and complicated in taking orders. Payment was even worse. For just two quick beers before diner I did not want to use...

Larger than average rooms, comfortable beds & bedding, everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Rooms were ca. 150 Euro On the negative side, there is nowhere to park and parking is charged at an extortionate rate (from memory it was 15 Euro per day.

The staff at this hotel are incredible. I was stranded here for 6 days and they all took special care of me. Kridan, the manager and Ruslan, the assistant manager are very calm in what was a very stressful week for the hotel. All of the waiting staff are polite and courteous and when I couldn't eat much on the...

This hotel may not be in the middle of Lisbon, but its directly next tor the Oriente station (which can take you to the middle of Lisbon in less than 15 minutes!) Staying in Parque das Nacoes

Neighbourhood Profile
Parque das Nacoes
This neighborhood was built up at the end of the 1990s mostly because of the Expo '98. The pavilions and structures that once were the home of all the Expo's attractions and exhibits are still culturally and artistically significant. In Parque das Nações you'll explore conference and concert pavilions, a shopping center, trendy restaurants and an enjoyable cable car ride you can't miss out on. On top of this, the amazing Lisbon Oceanarium (one of the most spectacular things you'll ever see in the city) will take your breath away: its respect and will to preserve natural wildlife is uncanny. Easily accessible by metro, bus or taxi from the city center, Parque das Nações is highly recommended for anyone who'll spend more than 3 days in the Portuguese capital.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Right in the heart of Parque das Nações, the Hotel Tryp Lisboa Oriente was recently refurbished with "Expo 98" and the Oceans as its background. At the entrance, visitors are met by a series of ocean aquariums together with a canvas, in the reception area, representing the great architectural landmarks. The rooms emphasise elegance, modernity and comfort, and are characterised by the marine environments and the harmony of the sea smell, alternating between the blue of the rooms looking out towards the Tagus and the coral red of those which lend a view of the heart of the city. They have free Wifi access, a Television with satellite channels, a lounge area, telephone with a direct line and air conditioning. The "Bistrô&Tapas" Restaurant, which extends out to a pleasant esplanade, displays the most iconic symbol of Expo 98: panels which reflect the universality of the event and convey the popular Exhibition passport. The restaurant serves international breakfasts and offers an à la carte service and a dish of the day, based on the "Bistrô&Tapas" concept. For a light meal, take advantage of the bar where organic forms give body and soul to the drinks bars and you can admire a reproduction of a Portuguese stone-paved roadway. Located close to the FIL - Lisbon International Fair, the famous Oceanarium and Lisbon Casino, and just a few minutes away from Lisbon International Airport, the Tryp Lisboa Oriente is situated around 15 minutes away from the historical city centre. Just a short walk away you can find a full transport network, including the metro, buses and trains. The Parque das Nações is an excellent choice for visitors interested in culture, history, food and drink. ... more   less
