Great place, great location, great staff! The rooms are clean. The breakfast is great (Better than most dinner places actually). The place has a cozy, homie feel and if you go with the right partner you will have great sex too- The walls are thick enough. Highly recommended.

The location of this place is perfect for walking around Lisbon and also to transport links. We only had one night here but would definitely stay here again. The staff we met were fabulous we had to leave before breakfast for the airport but they made arrangements for us to have breakfast a little earlier and I'm so glad they...

Situated perfectly opposite the popular Time Out Market and with short walking distance to the train station, trams, metro, bike hire, high street and the riverside was this beautiful and perfectly sized hotel with stunning views across the river and over the city. We enjoyed a relaxed, welcoming and family-felt breakfast every morning with fresh and homemade traditional breakfasts overlooking...

The staff was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They took the time to recommend their favorite places on a local city map and how to get there. Location was perfect, within a ten minute walk to Baixa and Barrio Alto neighborhoods. You could hear the local music scene at night with the windows open, but perfectly soundproof when closed! The...

We loved everything about this hotel - the décor is quirky, with some beautiful pieces of furniture and art in every room, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and cool, the view was great (market and river), breakfast was fresh and delicious, it was very well situated near to the station and river front. Most of all, the...

Just near the market hall is this Ribeira Tejo. It's rather difficult to find. Just watch the door. Rooms are comfortable and clean. If possible, take your room with the river view form the upper floors. The staff is very helpfull and nice and the breakfeast is good. You can get omelettes by order. From this place it's easy to...

The experience my family have had after three nights at this hotel is simply fantastic. The team that work here provide the most friendly, welcome and attentive service I have ever experienced. The rooms are immaculate and quirky. They are incredibly silent and guarantee a great sleep. The breakfast is also very special. A wonderful stay and will return for...

Similar to my review for Shiadus Casa dos Loios hotel in Porto this hotel is really good with great staff and good location. Again there are some minor flaws that the owners could address. Firstly the front door lock requires some fiddling to get it to open (is this a Portuguese thing or just a Shiadu thing). Reception is on...

It's an excellent location of hotel for someone who wants to visit Lisbon walking. It's in the middle of the city next to the river and we have a nice view from there. Really close to the Ribeira market and other touristy places, we can feel the nightlife outside inviting us to go out and have fun. The hotel is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Ribeira Tejo by Shiadu was once by the river… Actually only the Mercado da Ribeira and the Cais do Sodre station separate the fully renovated building of the Ribeira Tejo by Shiadu from the River Tagus. Most of the tiles from the 19th Century were renovated and can be seen from various points of the communal areas and also in some double and family suites. Take the lift to the 4th floor and simply use the stair to go up to the 5th floor, where you will find the best view at the Ribeira Tejo by Shiadu. There is nothing better than friendly and dedicated staff to welcome you and serve you a delicious home-made breakfast where you will have the opportunity of watching the ships go by, crossing under the 25th of April Bridge along with looking out to the Cristo Rei always on the lookout for any movement. Then, filled with energy you may begin your visit of Lisbon through the neighbourhoods of Chiado, Baixa and Bairro Alto which are less than a 10 minute walk-away from the Guesthouse, or if you prefer, you may also get on the No. 15 tram or the No. 28 tram to Alfama and Belem. Follow your instinct... we are waiting for you ! ... more   less
