Due to management change, there were some issues which have been resolved by wonderful staff. We have booked apartment and we have been situated on the 5th floor sharing living room and kitchen with another apartment. Apartments was quite big, kitchen had everything, and maybe only issue is that bathroom did not have a door so it was merged with...

Royal Hostel Lisbon may advertise itself as being nearly a hotel, but really it's just an awesome hostel. It's very social, clean, has everything you need from a hostel. The location is one of the best parts, in the Chiado (nice shopping/touristy area of Lisboa right in the city center), easily walkable downhill to the waterfront, but most importantly right...

Despite some initial issues with the booking (due to a change in ownership – now resolved), the staff at Royal Lisbon did everything in their power to ensure we had a pleasant stay, which we did. We stayed in two rooms whilst there, one a 3 bed, room without a bathroom in the main hostel, which was big and clean....

The staff is really friendly and the place is clean and tidy. Is true that there are many homless people in the area but that does not means that the location is dangerous as some might say,. I really loved the place,

I checked out google for "best location lisbon hostel" and ROYAL LISBON...

I spent a long weekend there with my friend. Location is brilliant - next to all the bars of Barrio Alto, churches, castle, everywhere worth seeing. The only time we bought tube ticket was to go to Oceanarium and it was not very good at all. Even the train station to Caiscais is only a short way down the street....

“There are two separate buildings (ask which one you will be in when you make your reservation, I lugged my bags up in the elevator only to find out I had to go back down stairs and across the plaza to another building, the second building doesn't have reception). If you can get the main building, it's more convenient with reception and also because that is where breakfast is served.”
