Please beware of Hotel DAH in Lisbon...the treatment and experience we endured at this hotel were so deplorable, unaccomodating, and unacceptable. We booked this hotel through Expedia for 4 nights in Lisbon. Due to the size of our party, 2 adults and 3 children, this was the only option for our family to be in 1 room at the time. After arriving late to check in due to travel, the hotel was very unflattering as the pictures from Expedia's site as well as the hotel's website depicted a completely different image, a complete misrepresentation. In addition, travel sites indicate laundry facilities in which they did not have, only a pricey service that they contract out. As having never been to Lisbon and not knowing the neighborhoods, we were taken back by all of the graffiti on the adjacent abandoned building. The layout of the hotel is very small and bizarre, with an elevator that could not even fit our family and luggage. We booked the quadruple room in order to accommodate our family; however the hotel management informed us that we only made a reservation for 4, even after showing them proof. The hotel stated that anyone older than 12 is considered an adult, and we are only allowed 4 adults. Our children are 17, 14, 14. We were willing to pay the extra bed charge fee, even though we felt that this should have been handled between Expedia and the hotel; however after the way we were treated we stated that we were not going to pay the extra bed fee. The General Manager later informed us after we had checked out, that the night attendant, who checked us in, will have to personally pay for the extra person as he did not request the $ from us at time of check-in. I find this very disturbing and disheartening that management would do this as he was the most pleasant person at the property. From being questioned the first night from staff as to why we were checking out the property, being treated like second class citizens from the night attendant (Sandra?), having our room key deactivated and not telling the truth as to why it was deactivated (was told that these things happen, but Nena (General Manager) admitted it was because we hadn't paid the nominal fee for the extra bed/person), and the overall feeling of being constantly watched, not welcomed, and unsafe, we decided to check out early. Nena, the GM, stated that irregardless of our awful experience, this was a non-refundable booking and will not credit us for the 2 nights we did not stay at Hotel DAH. Even Expedia felt for our discomfort and assisted us in other ways that we are extremely grateful for. This experience took up quality family vacation time that we can not get back. Please think twice about staying at this property as this was the worst experience we have encountered in all of our years of travel. There were a multitude of other unpleasant experiences; however would take too much time to elaborate further. These disappointing experiences didn't seem to matter to the manager as it is apparent they put profit over people. And if you do decide to book with Hotel DAH, please be advised that if you have an issue, you will be lectured and gaslighted by the manager. After further research into this hotel, it appears to be a trend of dissatisfied customers. Safe travels.

this is a terrible hotel!!! Terrible staff, terrible customer service! instead of a double room, we got a room the size of a closet! The hotel staff refused to solve this problem and did not explain why this happened! a night in the hotel cost 160 €, the hotel refused to refund the money and refused to solve our problem! we didn't even get an apology

The room was fine, check-in was simple and the concierge was friendly. The only problem was being on the first floor, next to the lounge. It is open 24 hours and noisy. Make sure to not book the first floor.

The location of this hotel is far from historic center but 10 minutes walking to the nearest Alameda metro, but first the walking distance to the Alameda metro station is not to closed. Then get off in Rossio metro station and walk in historic center. Then going back the same and going up the hill is not easy as they say. The hotel cleaning was fine. The staff too. Breakfast so so, not for the price of 9 euros p/p. Now the noise from next door rooms was horrible, no respect to anyone and beds not as comfortable. The are does not look to safe, but is ok. Just be early at the hotel.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the best service you can expect. My girlfriend and I booked the romantic experience, thinking we would be greeted by roses and chocolate the first day, and have a nice view. We did, but the romantic greeting continued throughout our stay, which was way above our expectation. All staff we talked to was extremely welcoming, and did all they could to accommodate everything. Only downside was that the room we stayed in was bit small, but we did also book the smallest size available, so that's on us.

The room was really tiny and next to the cleaning ladies' room. It was all day loud and woke up early in the morning because of the noise. When I complained about it, they didnt even apologize. Instead they blamed me, that it was my mistake that I didnt let them know earlier... and of course there was no other room available to change.... The way from the metro station to the hotel is steep uphill. Thats annoying after a whole day walking around in the city. Dont bother having breakfast there.

I had booked the room with the hotel directly instead of making the reservation via Booking or other websites to help the hotel save unnecessary fees (the price was the same). My flight was cancelled due to coronavirus, and I planned to stay a second night and made the reservation directly at the hotel. My next flight was cancelled as well and I had to leave the hotel at 9am and told the manager that I did an earlier checkout because we would try to leave the country by other means. We therefore left the hotel at 9am and did not make use of the second night, even though informing in advance.. The hotel refused to refund the money of the second night. A behaviour that is not understandable in the current times where all airlines, hotels and intermediates refund tourists.

Without being excellent, this Hotel is in everything at least 'good enough'. The room is spacy, the balcony sufficient, only the shower room is a bit small, but working fine. On the (7th) topfloor even a nice place to enjoy your breakfast.

First the good part. Spotlessly clean and with ultra professional front desk ladies. So what didn’t I like ? Well, the hotel is basically full of very noisy guests. The rooms are smaller than they appear on the website and the walls very thin. I don’t think I slept much. There is no hotel bar where one might have a nightcap (one might have concluded there was from the photos) a vending machine has replaced it. I was also miffed to see the stated rate wasn’t the actual rate! They charge a tourist tax on top. This should be included in their quotes. I don’t favour establishments that mislead. Overall little to recommend it. I’d pay a smidge more and get something else if you care about sleeping.

Dear Traveller Thank you for your preference and feedback. It is critical for us to improve our service and better our performance. We are pleased to learn you enjoyed our team's performance, both as far as Front Desk and House keeping are concerned. We are sorry to learn there ere aspects during your stay that did not meet your expectations. Whenever there is any situation, we always advise our guests to contact Reception so they are able to solve it immediately, as the noise issue from other guests. Unfortunately, unless we learn about it on the spot there is little that can be done. Regardless, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience. Kindly note the Hotel does offer a Lounge/ Bar on the 1st Floor, where guests are able to have a drink, socialise and even have a snack or a meal. It is available till midnight. Furthermore, we offer 24hour Room Service and the vending machines for snacks if needed. All our rooms are accurately depicted online, though we do offer different room types as also described online. Again, if there was any issue with the room, you could have contacted the Front Office staff who would be available for any potential changes if needed. Similarly, we would like to inform you the rate you booked your reservation was indeed the factual rate. The tourist tax you refer to is mentioned both at the time you are placing your booking, on your reservation email, and at the Check In procedure (merely as a reinforcement). Please be assured the Hotel is not misleading at all regarding anything, namely the tourist tax as this is a Government imposed charge, which has nothing to do with the Hotel. All the proceedings revert to the State. We do hope to welcome you again in a future trip. Safe travels, Hotel DAH
