I booked the junior Suite for a special new year's eve. On the confirmation email it was described as a modern decorated room with a big bed, a living room and a bathroom. When we got there, it was a room with a big bed, an entrance hall (has 2 chairs, a small, low tea table and a wardrobe) and a bathroom, nothing resembling a junior suite. We were disappointed with the decor. Upon arrival, both the main door and the bathroom had higienic stamps saying everything was safe and sanitized, but when we got in we found the toilet used and dirty and the floor with dust and human hair. We did say this at the front desk and I asked how is it possible that a 200 euro per night suite is dirty and has a sanitisation stamp anyway. The answer was just that they would ask the cleaning ladies to go back there. During this communication there was no apology from the staff or even an acknowledgement that there was a mistake or fault on their part and they did not make any attempt to contact us after it, to make sure that the problem had been solved. The door to the front balcony didn't work properly and the cold entered through there. The heating wasnt enough to cope with the cold coming in during the night . There was a lot of noise during the night, the room is not isolated properly and there is something that sounds like a generator, from the hotel, right next to the room so there was a constant buzz, all night, and it was very hard to have a good night sleep. Plus you hear everything that goes on outside, the street trash is just below the room (outside) and the trash truck comes late at night and you even hear the men talking. The breakfast is included in the stay but everything was cold and tastless. The coffee was from a machine and looked like dirty water so we prefered the one outside the hotel. Upon checking out there was no honest conversation about any of the problems we had. Overall the experience was terrible at Hotel Baia and we can't recomend anyone to stay here, there are certainly much better choices in Cascais.

I have visited Cascais every year since 2010 and nearly always stayed at the Hotel Baia. This year I stayed there 3 times because I feel very comfortable with all the precautions taken in respect of Covid 19. The location is perfect with a view over the harbour. The rooms are very tastefully decorated , including a great shower and provide a sea resort flair. I love the way you can watch the sunrise from your bed. I also enjoy sitting on the great rooftop terrace in the afternoon. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired and the staff is very helpful and takes all necessary precautions. I also had dinner in the Restaurant a couple of times which was very good. I hope to be back next year.

We really liked this hotel. The rooms were very clean and basic, but tastefully decorated, the breakfast was good and excellent COVID-19 precautions were in place. We also had a dinner here and the food was very good. The views over the bay are lovely. I recommend getting a room with a sea view. Hotel Baia is excellently situated for a visit to Cascais as all the main attractions are on your doorstep. You get a lovely, relaxed feeling from being in this hotel. The staff are amazing! We were especially grateful to the lady at reception who went out of her way to help us contact the local hospital which was closed as it was Sunday, to get our COVID-19 Test results (which are mandatory for international flights). We will definitely return to Cascais next year and we will definitely stay at Hotel Baia!

We had a sea facing room with a balcony. The view was stunning. The location is perfect for all restaurants etc in Cascais and the hotel has private parking underground. Breakfast was a good selection and managed well post COVID-19 (screens etc). I have no idea why this hotel only has 3 stars.

In the midst of covid we arrived and found Baia as good as it ever was, if not better! Hand sanitisers everywhere, the staff all masked, breakfast portioned out for you, We felt safer here than in our local supermarket back in England! Walking around Cascais the impact of covid is clear but Baia stands out! Wonderful location, wonderful food, wonderful people! Good to see you again Carlos!! We have already booked again for next year!
