The stay was generaly pleasant. The hotel is located very nicely near the ocean. There was always parking available. The breakfast was really nice. But since I had to do a lot of work on my computer the lack of a simple power socket bugged me the whole time!
First floor rooms badly soundproofed, lots of noise from the neighbouring rooms (toilet, TV, "activities", vacuum cleaning in the corridor at 6:00 am). Very annoying. Every night my sleep was interrupted..
Had a fab time , would highly recommend ,,, Had half board Breakfast amazing choice , dinner great variety each evening Taxi into Cascais approx 5 euros . Staff, Room , Facilities, Food , all excellent value for money ...
The hotel is really great and all looks clean. Room was really beautiful and I really liked that it has a balcony. The soap in the bathroom smelled really nice. Breakfast is amazing, lots of good options, and the breakfasts room is beautiful. I haven't tried the pool or the gym, but they both looked really nice. The only strange thing that happened was on the second day at breakfast; we chose to stay at a table near the window to eat, and then tons of ants marched in from the window side. Personnel we came in contact with was very nice and polite, big plus. Should I ever return to this wonderful city, I will definitely choose the same hotel.
Have stayed in many Pestana hotels and Posada previously so was comfortable to book this one. However, this is BASIC. Very dissapointed. The best offering is a bottle of water on arrival, just the one, no matter how long the stay. That sets the tone. Shower/hand gel is nailed to the wall, no nice bottles of body lotion etc here, no tissues or any of the items normally provided. There is a sink and electric hob in room together with a couple of pans?? and mugs. Fridge made a helluva racket so had to be turned off at night. There was a large (100) party of bridge players so the restaurant was like a monkeys tea party. Tried to get in early/late but somehow never managed to have a civilised meal. The dining room is quite small and the party would have been better accommodated in the conference room for theirs and our sakes. Lockers in changing room had no keys so couldn't leave any valuables for swimming. Can continue but you get the picture. Location is out of cascais, bus stop is about 10 minutes walk away. Also a road back from the sea cliff tops so yes you can see the sea but only from a distance. …
