The hotel is a little old fashioned in decor but is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's very good value for money and the pool area is lovely. Breakfast is lovely with a great selection but it can get busy so it's worth getting up a little earlier to eat in comfort.

Spent 3 nights away at the Hotel Cidadela with a large group of friends and found the hotel extremely old fashioned. Pros: 1. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. 2. Rooms were clean. Stayed on a bed and breakfast basis which was extremely cheap - approximately £65 for a three night stay. 3. Food in the restaurant was very good....

The hotel is very good value for money, but one doesn't much enjoy too many walks back up from the coast and the old time. And cerainly not, if one is carrying lots of things from the shops. The pool was indeed empty of other swimming clients.

Worst hotel ever. We booked an apartment in this hotel for my family specifying that we had a 6 month old baby. They gave us one with no elevator only tiny stairs so we couldn't carry the baby in the baby buggy. This was the first one of many bad experiences. 1) The blids didn't work so the room was...

I found this hotel requires upgrading, especially the pool area. If I was to describe my visit it would be that it was disappointing. The staff were not very friendly or helpful apart from one receptionist, and it was difficult to get a smile from anyone.

My wife and I stayed here in early October for 4 nights, taking a sunny room with a balcony on the 5th floor overlooking the swimming pool and garden. This room also had the advantage of lovely views across the town and the sea. Without a doubt this is a charming place and in many ways something of a step...

Another great stay - my second here this year. Just looking at other comments, yup the lift works fine now, yes, the housekeeping, and bar-keeping is truly first rate, and the air con remains variable. The staff are excellent still (the does not vary). Breakfast is the same but has enough choice so that doesn't matter. If you want to...

The décor of the ground floor spaces - the hall and social rooms and divisions has a certain touch of British elegance and charm ! The upper bedrooms with sea and pool view on the 4th and 4th floors are a 'must' !! Nice rooms - carpeted, spacious and sound-proof. No hairdryer, however . . . The pool area provides...

Lovely room on the 4th floor. Great view to the sea and marina beyond. Pool area was lovely and well maintained. Hotel clean and tidy. Friendly staff.. Good breakfast each morning which did not change much but even so plenty to eat.
