We have just returned from a delightful and very last minute stay at this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and sophistication of the place and the welcome and attention that we received from all the staff. They really could not have been more pleasant and helpful Obviously this was a quiet time and the hotel was not overly busy so I can’t comment on how it would have been in high season. We had a deluxe room With a great view overlooking the pool, beach and ocean. It was delightfully fitted out. The room was a little on the small side and accessing the bath and shower controls was complicated. We did think of moving to a larger hotel but decided that the elegance and ambiance of the Albatroz and its delightful bar were good enough reasons to stay put
This hotel is perfectly situated for a visit to Cascais. Right next to the beach, making it very convenient for a swim. Beach towels and baskets are provided for guests to use. Stunning views from the sea facing rooms and the breakfast room. Breakfast is delicious. Decor is elegant and relaxing. Staff are helpful and accommodating and COVID-19 Regulations are followed strictly. Rooms are serviced regularly and well. The beds are extremely comfortable. We look forward to staying here again!
We absolutely loved our small hotel with the cozy room and nice balcony with the view of the ocean and parts of Cascais. The location is wonderful; on either side of the hotel there is a public beach. The swimming pool was cold and refreshing and we appreciated the towels for either pool or beach that the hotel provided. Within a few meters of the front door we already had our pick of restaurants and bars. Another huge plus is that his hotel is exactly one block from the train station which is great because his hotel has a teeny parking lot and you really don't need a car to get around Cascais. The hotel staff was very accommodating and I look forward to our next visit.
Spent several nights here. We loved Cascais. And we really liked this hotel. The location cannot be matched. Overlooking the beach with views out to sea but yet walk out of the front door and there are bars and restaurants within a minute’s walk. Also a big shout out to the charming staff. One of the blokes on reception was so delightful and helpful, I was putty in his hands. I am deducting a point because I think this hotel could do with a bit of a makeover. It’s just a bit old fashioned in some ways. But hey, maybe that’s a good thing because it means it’s not overrun by cool hipsters allowing the rest of us to get in when we want.
Just to be clear, the hotel itself, room service and the restaurant- great service etc etc etc. Now the swimming pool and the sunbathing area is akin to HOSTEL or I guess I’d expect this from 2 star hotels. The Hotel encourages guests to leave their dirty towels, empty glasses and some random stuff on top of the sunbathing chairs while NOT USING them. As a result, the sunbathing area is mostly empty because no one is there from those who left their belongings and those of us who do not do this - have no where to sunbathe... so off to the beach we go... Which is fine! Would i not pay premium for the opportunity to sunbathe next to the swimming pool. In addition, the swimming pool area looks dirty, deserted and totally not COVID proofed. Spoke to the management- and got completely ignored. Guest satisfaction? I wish I’d stayed in another hotel.…
