We loved staying at this hotel! Our room was on the first floor on the front of the hotel and we worried needlessly about noise on the Friday night we stayed there. The building is old and is filled with vintage furnishings which creates an environment totally unique compared to other hotels in this price range. Breakfast was very good...

This is why you travel independently, free of tours, groups, homogenous rooms and food. And it's a bargain. Jorge A (below) gets it right, "old luxurious palace of a rich aunt." The little square is charming and so well located for touring the historical center and Beiras region. There is a boisterous restaurant nearby where locals relax and one gets...

The location couldn't be better: smack in the center of town, a block from the cathedral (where you can usually find free parking!), within easy walking distance of everything you'd want to see and many, many good restaurants. Nice sized bedrooms, furnished with antiques, most of which are for sale. Up-to-date bathrooms. Breakfasts offer a lot of fresh and interesting...

The " Casa de Se " hotel was a real surprise. It"s like entering a museum full of antique pieces but at the same time the staff makes you feel at home. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Great location near the cathedral in the old city. Very good breakfast and on top of everything the price was unbelievale.... A gem!!!!!!

This hotel is a charming 17th century building and former residence of a duke. It is authentically restored with beautiful furnishings and decorations. Our room was of an adequate size with two small balconies and a large bathroom overlooking the square. On the third floor there is a gorgeous large sitting room for guest use. The breakfasts were nice and...

We loved the hospitality, the breakfast and, more importantly, the mattress & pillows. Everything is two minutes distant by foot and one has lots of options in terms of food. Definitely, a great hub if you want to visit the region.
