Casa Morais is on the outskirts of Coimbra. At first I thought we had made a mistake for booking this hotel due to its location away from the city center. However, the hotel amenities and the welcoming hostess Maria and owner Rosa made up for the lack of a central location. Rooms were very nice and spotlessly clean. The en...

This is a beautifully restored building in a small village only15 minutes drive outside Coimbra. We choose it because we wanted to break the journey travelling from Porto region back to Lisbon, and had very easy access from the motorways. Even though we only stayed for one night, Rosa and her sister made us most welcome. As it happened our...

Wonderful B&B located a few kilometers from central city. Excellent value. Use the savings to by dinner. Almost new appointments with large, modern, quite rooms and baths. Delightful owners. If you arrive and no one seems to be home, read the directions on the door and walk down the street to the owners house and knock on the door. Decent...

We stayed at Casa Morais 2 nights and were very glad to have made this choice. Casa Morais is located in a small nice vilage Fornos just about 15 minutes away (by car) from the historical center of Coimbra. Our room was very clean, spacious and quiet with windows going to the back yard. The breakfast was plentiful and very...

We felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay. The sisters who own the property were very helpful-- giving good restaurant suggestions, advising us of where to park during our visit to the city and their English speaking ability and knowledge of the surrounding area was great. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom very new and up to date. Breakfast...

Casa Morais is a welcoming hotel on the outskirts of Coimbra. It was a delight to find this oasis and enjoy the warmth and assistance of the family who run it. Nothing was a trouble. It was hard to leave this beautiful place. Thank you so much.

Wonderful place that makes you feel like home. The owners are really nice and very helpful. Within a five minute walk, there were a choice of restaurants, with suckling pig being the speciality of the area. We were only sorry that we were staying for one night before moving to Porto, but we certainly stay there again, perhaps next year.

Hardly a B&B, it offers everything a first class hotel has- clean, modern rooms, new bathrooms, nice sitting/TV lounge. The two sisters, Rosa & Palmyra, are beyond wonderful- they are nice people, knowledgeable & helpful about the area, seem to speak 4 or 5 languages and make you feel as if you are in your own home. The buffet breakfast...
