A very nice place. Comfortable and clean rooms that are fair priced. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Average to good breakfast. View of the river is beautiful and a quick walk across to the shopping Centre as well as plenty of restaurants in the vicinity
I had many issues with parking, customer service and the room itself. Parking was charged (8€ a day) even though we didn't use it. We parked at the Mercado which was only 5€ a day, but since we didn't return the parking card for the Forum (as we weren't sure we had parked in the right place!) we are still charged by the hotel €16 for two days we didn't park there. The employee blamed his employer and whined it comes out of his paycheck if we don't pay which sounded like a total lie (that is not legal in most countries!). Considering we found nearby parking that was much cheaper too the whole experience left a bad taste in our mouth, why is the hotel having their guests park more expensively? The room also left a lot to be desired, walls are thin, the noise from neighboring hotel guests was a big nuisance and kept us awake. …
My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel Aveiro Palace for 3 nights. Although it was cold and rainy outside, the hotel staff made sure that the hotel was nice and warm on the inside and clean at all times. The location of this hotel was perfect for what we had planned. The breakfast in the mornings were really good. Although the hotel has a coffee machine in the living room area (you have to pay for the coffee), I would have preferred that the rooms had coffee making facilities as a cup of coffee would be great after a hot shower. The staff is friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is conveniently situated for a couple of days sightseeing. The internal junior suite was small & the bed was smaller. It seemed smaller than a double &, therefore, not comfortable for 2 adults. Being internal there is no view which for the price felt expensive. The hotel is tastefully decorated & would benefit a comfortable bar. We found an area near the breakfast room which had lovely sofas but no bar. For a hotel of this standard, this facility is massively overlooked. The breakfast was extremely disappointing. A small area consisting of some cold meats & cheeses, yoghurts, small selection of breads, cereal & cake. A small toaster is provided. The only hot option was a tin of mini hot dog sausages floating around in a small tray!! I have had a lot better in a much less expensive hotel. Overall, not bad but definitely not 5* hotel nor experience.…
If you‘re looking for the tiniest room you‘ve ever been to, you‘re in the right place! When you tell them that you actually don‘t fit the room, you‘ll just get ignorance and unfriendliness. When you decide to check out early as you don‘t want to sleep in a store room, you‘re still asked to pay the parking fee of 8 Euros even if you‘ve only spent two (!) hours in the hotel. Never going there again. Don‘t expect the rooms to look like they do on the website.
