The receptionist is a real gem. She organised Amex as payment despite the owner initially refusing to accept it and the hotel has covered parking next door for 5 euros a night. Location is perfect for exploring Lagos or spending the day on the beach. I'd stay here again!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and really enjoyed it : clean, great natural light, fair price, quiet. The staff is nice and the breakfast is good. A great place to stay in the center of Lagos. It is a step away from the restaurants and bars yet very quiet inside, and a great spot to start a...

Hotel is right in the middle of Lagos with cheap underground parking 2 minutes away. Very friendly welcome. Room very modern with tea and coffee available. Breakfast was all you could want and the manager even made a fresh cup of tea for us ... that's what you call service!

We stayed there for nine nights and everything was OK. The room was nice and clean, the staff friendly and coming out of the house you're in the middle of everything. Bars, shops, restaurants within a few minutes walk. Also the beach about 10 minutes walk. At night it's not totally quiet, but who would expect that? Wifi worked fine....

What an amazing find this hotel was. After walking in to check availability on the day of check in - we instantly loved the vibe at Mar Azul. Staff are so friendly & welcoming and helpful. Very good English spoken. We felt like we hit the jackpot with our room - sea views, immaculately presented, clean, secure & at an...

We could not have asked for better value for money: spotless room, friendly staff, central location right on "The Strip" in the heart of Lagos (although we didn't experience a lot of noise), beds made and changed and towels changed daily, able to come and go at any time of the day or night due to swipe-card system, breakfast included....

A friend and I stayed at Pensao MarAzul for 3 nights and were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel. The staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived until the time we left, providing us with advice about Lagos and Portugal in general. Breakfast was basic (toast, cereal and juice) but definitely hit the spot. The location was...

I stayed at MarAzul after a week of youth hostels and surf camps. So, to me, it seemed like a luxury hotel! My room and private bathroom were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was typical for Portugal (a bit of bread, some coffee) and the location was perfect for enjoying the city and getting around easily. My room was right...

We stayed 3 nights as our base to tour the Algarve. Clean, basic rooms; friendly staff; basic breakfast; excellent location in centre of Lagos. Hotel was on second floor; since no elevator, needed to carry luggage up, but owner helped. We had rental car and had some difficulty with the very narrow streets and finding the hotel, which is on...
