We were so impressed with this B&B. The owner was so kind and friendly, free powerful wifi and a lovely complimentary breakfast. The beds were so comfortable and everything was extremely clean and classy. They must have been 15 foot ceilings with beautiful vintage detail and crown moulding. We had a beautiful Juliette balcony over looking the streets. There is...

The girl who welcomed us was extremely nice and friendly. She let us choose a room, which was a nice and sunny room, but with very loud beds - every time you moved it was squeaking so loud especially as the hotel wasn't busy. Breakfast would be ok, if we would actually get the food that was served - like...

Located in the heart of Faro, it is walking distance to all of the local sites apart from the beach. It is almost hidden away and if you're not keeping a close eye on the names on the doors you may well miss it. The building is large and is stylish and modern. For the 5 days that we stayed,...

We began our stay by waiting by the front door to check in 45 minutes past the 14:00 check in time; there were problems with the website which prohibited staff from knowing whether or not they had guests arriving. When they got there however, our receptionist was incredibly friendly and gave us a thorough introduction to the place and downtown...

This is the first time i had to pay 10 euros more because i checked-in after 18,00, which is ridiculous for a b&b. However, this was mentioned in my booking but i did not pay attention to such a detail as you generally do not expect that. Quality of sleep is not great, rooms are small but clean, breakfast was...

When we arrived (in the regular opening time) the house kippers were not there and we had to call them to open us the door. The shower was not working very well. The room was 'ok' but the beds were very noisy. The breakfirst was disappointing, not many fresh products.

We enjoyed our stay at Azothea B&B, our room was large with comfortable beds. Being on the street however was at times very noisy during the night, we soon got used to it and it didn't really affect our sleep. The kitchen was well equiped and very clean and the breakfast provided was good consisting of bread, jams, ham and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to our azothea and to our beloved city of Faro. Our Bed&Breakfast is part of a different Algarve we want you to be part of. We´re not a hotel or a complex building with swimming pool; we don´t have a reception desk full with a million flyers to crowd buses and noisy waterparks; we don´t start breakfast at 7am and we do not have equal rooms with equal furniture. What we can offer you is a relaxing atmosphere in a traditional house with 5 charming rooms with 2 shared bathrooms; we´ll give you tips to see, eat and touch the best of Faro and Ria Formosa, like a local would do; we´ll offer a buffet breakfast full of local and fresh products and all that at reasonable price. ... more   less
