Stayed 1 night recently in this hotel. First must stress the staff were very friendly. However that for me was the only plus, other than perhaps its convenient location, close to Faro railway station. Booked a double room, travelling alone however. The room was hardly double, a large bed, tiny table with solitary dining table type chair, (perhaps a second...

The rooms are not cosy. The shower makes you want to die - too hot or too cold but never warm. The breakfast is very poor. The room facing the street is very noisy. In Portugal you can find much better accommodation for the same price.

This was my first ever holiday alone. with flights and hotel booked for two, my husband had to cancel - but the kids said 'Do a Shirley Mum!' As the hotel was so reasonable i kept the booking as it was and the double room. It was clean, comfortable and facing the road, but not too noisy (triple glazed). Breakfasts...

We had a short stay here on way home from holiday. It is very convenient for the bus and train station and is just a short walk into the centre, where there is a good selection of restaurants still serving the best of traditional Portugese food. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good. There is a lovely courtyard...

This little economy hotel is convenient to the main square, marina and lots of little local restaurants and snack bars where you can have delicious well-priced meals in the traditional Portuguese manner. A short walk and you have the main shopping area and the very old town with museums and the cathedral. The surrounding area of this hotel looks a...

Small but clean and quiet rooms, decent breakfast and very helpful staff. The city center is a short walk away, about seven minutes. There is room for good parking nearby, but the hotel also offers a garage for 5 EUR extra per day.

We stayed here for a few days in mid-January and found the hotel to be one of the nicest we visited. The staff were really nice, they couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable and the relaxed atmosphere was the perfect medicine for a mid-winter break. The hotel itself has got heaps of charm and is spotlessly clean, the...

A very friendly hotel, from the moment we arrived we were greeted like family. The room was clean and tidy and had every you would need in a hotel in Portugal as realistically, who just goes abroad to sit in their room all day. Close to the town, didn't need to hire a car as there were plenty of regular...

The hotel is perfectly positioned 5 minutes from the bus and train stations and the town centre. Very clean and comfortable, especially for a two star rated hotel. Breakfast is varied with a selection of cereal, bread, toast, and tea coffee chocolate and juices. Our room was on the roadside of the hotel, but no traffic noise heard due to...

I've just returned from 2 nights in Faro on my own with 2 young children. We stayed at the Sol Algarve and would go back again. The hotel is very well-located (the airport bus stops nearby) and is only a short 5 min walk to the old city. The people who run the hotel were really helpful and friendly. They...
