We stayed in the studios of Algarve Gardens, these are not suitable for older people and dangerous for children. There are no lifts just four flights of marble stairs. However, they were clean and were cleaned every day. We were half board and had a bit of a trek up to the Alfamar where we are and could use the...

A quiet place at mid September. We researched properly so we knew we had booked a duplex apartment or bungalow ( they call it a Villa!) and not the Apartment blocks. Our end row bungalow was lovely with a sun roof and two sun terrace patio front and back. Yes, its needing a paintover and it trends from the nineties...

When I was booking (with onthebeach.co.uk) it showed separate villas . If you book the cheapest ones, you actually get put in a "tower block" of apartments (see picture(s) ) They aren't bad, but can be very noisy late at night, from the other tenants, not from street noise ect. Daily housekeeping is good, the rooms are dated but ok....

Stopped here on a 4 night stay. Have stayed in busier places in portugal. 2 restaurants and a snack bar within 5 minute walk and supermarket at bottom of driveway, Dated but adequate accomodation but dont believe this as "albufeira" which was an apparent 25 minute bus ride away, Old town would taken 1 and 1/4hour on 2 buses and...

Ok so, I booked the algarve gardens because it was extremely cheap. And I wanted a low cost holiday. So I had no expectations. After all how bad can it be? I paid £210, for 5 nights half board, with onthebeach.com (including return flights) bargain. This was the 1st week in May. Arrived to check in at hotel Alfamar. (Which...

Ok, so I read the reviews for the Algarve Gardens over and over and thought, well why not give it a go?. After all we have stayed in some pretty grotty places and all we really need is a bed and a shower so off we went. We arrived in the dark and all looked fine, the main hotel looks...

Stayed here for 7days and it wasnt a pleasent stay at all. This may be the cheaper option for who ever wants to stay here but spend that extra bit more cash i would strongly advise and go somewhere else. Room was very basic and very old fashioned and hardly anything worked. Bathroom looked dirty. We had no fridge even...

I have spent three weeks at this complex this year. OK so the studios are dated but you only get what you pay for. The maids clean every day and always try to do their best. I love the quiet location the pool and the private access to the beach all in all a very good complex if one remembers...
