Hi, The wife and I have just returned from a week at the Auramar hotel in Albueira, Porutgal. We read some of the hotel reviews( which were not very complimentary), before we went and didn't know what to expect as this was our first time in the hotel or for that matter Portugal. The hotel itself was a pleasant surprise,...

Full of hen and stag parties which spoilt it if you wanted to stay by the pool. the food was terrible had to start eating out after i caught a bug.Only one...

Our room was large with good views of the sea but decor and furniture were dated. The hotel facilities are reasonable; the pool looked clean, the buffet selection in the restaurant was good and the staff were friendly. The hotel is very close to the great sandy beach which was almost deserted everytime we went to it - most of...

So, checked in on Friday 3rd May there where 15 in our party aged between 40 and 60. Was met in reception by a guy who was leaving as his wife had been ill for three days with suspected food poisoning and he told there had been 30 other cases that week? This was our second visit in three years...

Mr & Mrs from Glasgow. Hotel was ok, all though the food was not hot enough to which they advised we could use the hotels microwave!! Room was standard, but while I was there I caught a sickness and diarrhea bug which kept me up for 24 hours. Also other people within the hotel caught this bug and was admitted...

On the surface it is clean. The all inclusive food looks well presented. The staff presentable. However after 2 days I was vomiting and diarrhea at the same time ending up in hospital . I only had 3 alcoholic drinks whilst there all others were soft drinks and drs believed it was food poisoning. The serving staff at the 'canteen'...

Two " 60 something" ladies after a bit of sun for a post winter pick me up...after booking this hotel, we then read some very mixed reviews (yes, we should have read them first, but you know...senior moments!) however we decided to give it our best shot and arrived very late on Saturday 27th April. The reception staff were, contrary to...

This hotel does have nice views, and the food is ok, but the sickness and diarrhea is way out of control. Both my girlfriend and myself were ill for a couple of days, and when the people say they had sickness it is really violent sickness, and I would worry for a young or an old person catching it. Afterwards...

We were in room D112 lower floor, we too had bug spray in room all well and good but if room was cleaned properly in the first place, there might not be a problem we repeatedly requested a room clean and we were ignored. When we left our room I left behind a message which I wrote on the top...
