We picked this hotel as it was inside the walls of the old city and we needed a base for looking at megalithic monuments in the area about Evora. It was a good choice for us. We stayed on the second floor. This is not a new hotel, but it makes up for its age with excellent helpful staff. It...

Very nice staff and the terrace and common area very clean and beautiful. Rooms are a disappointment and parse smelling of bleach. Parking non-existent so pack light as you need to carry all your bags from afar.

The Solar de Monfalim is located in Evora's City centre. A nice rather old-fashioned Little Hotel, the rooms have a 60s Flair. The breakfast is a buffet with a small choice, the staff generally friendly and helpful, but one Lady was a bit stressful as she ran after us and wanted the room key when we just stepped outside the...

This hotel has plenty of character. It's in a lovely old building. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The hotel feels homely and is not part of a faceless chain. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The location is very central with lots of sights of Evora just a short walk away. There's a really nice balcony/verandah to sit...

We stopped into this hotel for directions, where Vanessa at the front desk was very thorough and helpful. She gave us detailed directions to parking, public transit (Azul shuttle link), recommended restaurants, and places of interest. She went over and above in providing an "Evora welcome", taking on the role of a city ambassador. She really should be working in...

We stayed here one night on May 28, 2016. Except for the location, in the heart of Evora, we don't have much good to say about this hotel. It is an old hotel with old furniture. The breakfast was a meager. WiFi signal was weak in the room, stronger in the lobby. We do not recommend this hotel.

Imagine being a duke in 16 th century Portugal. Now you have a room here. It's a charming hotel. The room is small. The shower stall antiquated. The breakfast very nice. The hotel is clean. The staff is knowledgable and very nice. The location is very good inside the city walls. Good public parking. It rates a two -star but...

We took the bus from Lisbon's Sete Rios bus station to Evora. The bus station is a bit far especially with luggage and cobblestone streets from the city center so we took a cab to Solar Monfalim. The hotel has a lovely outdoor covered porch that has nice views and tables for seating. There are lots of steps up and...

The hotel was once a grand place, but has aged not so gracefully. Having said that, we enjoyed the stay despite the difficulty in finding parking close to the hotel. If you are lucky, you will find a public parking slot nearby, but will have to pay at the cashier machine. The hotel was clean and the staff pleasant. Fixtures...

We were pleased to have found a room available on fairly short notice and were delighted when we arrived. The house is a big, old, stone manor house decorated with antique furniture. The room was large, bright and clean with a comfy bed and a lovely view. It is located right in the heart of the historic city but on...
