My parents and I had two rooms at the Inn at Glencairn for a graduation weekend. It was the perfect place to start and end a few busy days . . . and even sneak in a mid-afternoon nap. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and immaculate. I ended up with the suite as it was the last room left. The second room with twin beds would be perfect for a family with 1-2 kids. We were there on an exceptionally hot weekend and the A/C was delightfully cool, which was unexpected for an older house! Hands down the best parts of the Inn at Glencairn are the host, Lydia, and her delicious full breakfast. It's lovely to be able to start the day with a hot meal right downstairs that is prepared expertly and with care. We will definitely be back for future stays!
We stayed during the pandemic and felt very comfortable with the precautions taken for guests. We would have hugged Lydia for her gracious hospitality and excellent local tips if times were different! The breakfasts were delicious and more generous than we could finish. While the nightly cost may be above other local options, the special touches and breakfast more than make up for the difference in price. If you enjoy uniqueness, privacy, a piece of history and a good breakfast, the overall value is excellent. We will definitely return again when we visit family in this area.
Absolute dream getaway!! The place is spotless and welcoming. The outside is tranquil and breathtaking. The Inn is the best place to stay, Lydia turns it into a home to stay. Her vibrant, welcoming, and attentive personality is second to none. I hate bed and breakfast but got this as a gift to my wife for Mother’s Day because she loves them. I still generally don’t like bed and breakfast, but I LOVE this one and will return frequently. Thank you for and amazing night and experience!!!!
We were two couples for a weekend. The place is beautiful, with beautiful grounds and ample places to sit outdoors and enjoy the tranquil, green space. But indoors are just as nice. Comfy rooms and a wonderful great room where we could sit and visit, enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee, do puzzles, play games. And, wow, the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. A wonderful weekend. Highly recommend this place and hope to return!
This is a truly lovely property, south of Princeton. The house is super interesting for history buffs and impeccably presented. The barn is fun to hang out in, as well. Lydia is super organized and the breakfast was excellent.
