We arrived on the afternoon of Easter Monday, I must admit with mixed feelings about what we might find after reading reviews , but I am pleased to say we were pleasantly surprised that the reviews were on the whole were unfounded We went to reception to book in and were welcomed with a smile, given our key, directions to...

we stayed here with a large group of people for a wedding nearby and the drive up the grounds is incredible. the reception area is large and grand but the staff seemed a little bit stressed (although they were friendly and helpful). we arrived at lunchtime ready to check in and get changed for the wedding at 2pm but was...

Great value when you consider the beautiful hall and grounds, tempted to state a 5 rating! The premises are undergoing upgrades and certain facilities such as the pool needs this although the water was good. The breakfast was extensive with a wide selection and the ala carte meal that we had was very good quality. the lamb melted in your...

Superbly striking house of Victorian gothic style, loved the gates to the front, imposing and very stylish. Lovely grounds, well presented formal gardens and estate landscaped fields with cattle, very nice setting and just off the A1...bonus!!

We had a very relaxing 2 night stay in the main house (Mansion Rooms) and thought the mansion bedroom, general hotel surroundings and outdoor scenery were great. My food was enjoyable at our evening meal, my husband's steak was not so good. The terrine starter was delicious and came with plenty of toast!! Reception and bar staff were welcoming and...

This is a real mixed bag of a place. Having been many times before I guess I knew mostly what to expect so I wasn't disappointed. The main building is of course lovely and today we had a sunny stroll around the well kept gardens as well as out into the park land which is also great if you've got...

I wanted to treat my girlfriend to a 1 night getaway for her birthday after a shopping trip in Peterborough, and this hotel seemed ideal only being 40 minutes away. Its one of those hotels that your glad you read tripadvisor reviews beforehand, as id think you would come away dissappointed otherwise. Driving up to the hotel, your treated with...

We stayed in the stable court yard and was very disappointed. Our room (room 7) was small to the point of claustraphobic and very very hot even with radiators turned off. Plug sockets are poorly located and someone walking across the floor above sounds like people dancing and it was possible to hear the room next door talking. An overall...

With this being a weekend break offer it was ideal for our needs - just simply doing nothing and recharging batteries after Christmas - beautiful place to visit and beautiful grounds to walk through to blow the cobwebs off.

I booked a voucher for this place for a present, the place on the photographs looked wonderful. The time my fiancée came here was after a really stressful month, had had just lost a friend to cancer and other bad things had been going on. Our stay was for 2 nights, I understood we would be staying in the converted...
