This establishment cannot be praised enough for the attention to detail they paid during our visit. We had 7 deaf pupils and 2 autistic spectrum pupils travelling with us along with a wide age range of pupils from the mainstream. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone felt welcome. The accommodation was great and the showers were better than some...

We really liked our stay at Poppies 2. As is the norm for french hostels they really do give a good brief on the H&S of the building along with the threat of a large fine if the fire alarm goes off accidentally, easily done with deodorant and boys!! The younger members of our ATC sqn had dorm rooms with...

Dear Briar, Many thanks for your spot on comments :-) We agree that the storage space can be improved in the bedrooms. We are carefully looking at how we will do that because, being an accommodation for groups, it has to be realy, realy realy vééééry strong. If we buy something from the shop it doesn't stay very long so...

I appreciate that this review is 10 years late but will all the negative comments on here I felt it only fitting to write a review now, especially as the ATC Squadron will be returning (hopefully in 2016) for the four days of Yser marches. 111 Squadron travelled to Belgium in 04/05 with the cadet band to play for the...

Dear James, What a nice review, many thanks for that. We are looking forward to welcoming you again in 2017. You will be impressed by the renovations we will have done by then because last week we have hired 2 more technicians to accelerate the upgrade plans we have! :-) Thanks again and see you next time! We came here on a school trip in June. The breakfast was good because I'm quite a fussy eater and I loved the cereal. The room we stayed in had a bright green wall, but that was alright because my favourite colour is green!! The other walls weren't painted and there were really inappropriate writing and drawings on the walls....

Me and my school stayed here on a school trip in June 2015. It was a lovely stay with the owner making us feel very welcome. I stayed in Room 1 or 2 (cant remember oops!) which was a room suitable for 8 people. It was large and spacious but slightly cramped when there was seven teenage girls with clothes...

This hostel has been very wonderful so far for my school trip to Belgium. They have wifi which was very useful and I praise you on this. The layout of the hotel is also very easy to find your way around and find teachers when needed. The floor boards, stairs and bunk beds were extremely squeaky even at the slightest...

Thank you very much Tom, We are very happy with the nice review you wrote. The squeaky beds have been a nightmare for us in the past months. Brand new but not strong enough. They are being repaired during the summer break now. Thanks again! Stefaan

Great place to stay with a school group. Fantastic location in the centre of Ypres with lots of wee walks for free time. Plenty of restaurants and cafes and shops to visit. Clean rooms, good breakfast and fab packed lunch. Plenty of open space for children and a few things to entertain them and keep them occupied. Some renovations getting...

Many thanks for this nice review. Always encouraging if people appreciate our services. During the more quiet month of August we will be freshing up the paint in the bedrooms, but lots of other upgrades are planned in the months and years to come. Thanks again and see you again next time. Kind regards, Stefaan.

I loved the way that while we're staying in an old war-zone area we get to experience the feeling of being in a concentration camp. This hostel really gave the authentic feel of a prison and the shabby chic feel of it all. Dust was everywhere and that was amazing - like opening the door was as if we were...

Dear Lucy, Thank you for your wonderful and poetic sarcasm.
