Stayed here with about 30 students as part of a Galina tour of the battlefields. As a teacher, this was ideal. A good location and the rooms were close together, which meant it was easy to keep an eye on all of the students! The hotel is split into two almost, so if you're staying as an actual guest, that...

Stayed in the Hostel side with 9 staff and 90+ secondary students as part of the Batttlefields trip visiting museums, battlefields, cemeteries and the Menin Gate. Great location. Rooms were ok for what we needed for the night although very very hot. No air con upstairs and it was like a sauna. Rooms were all close together so easy to...

After leaving school at around 6:20AM, heading to the tunnel and beginning the battlefields adventure, visiting Vimmy Ridge and it's surrounding places of interest, we arrived at the hotel. Also, for people not visiting as a school, the main hotel part looks stunning, however, the hostel side of the hotel is, how do I say this... different... We were read...

We went with 40 school children and 5 adults. We will never go again to this place. Reasons: 1 - Teachers were given ingredients only and had to prepare the pack lunches for pupils 2 - lunch provided was not enough to sustain growing teenagers for day of site seeing 3 - staff were rude and yelled at teachers for...

Be warned this hotel is totally of wooden construction and as a result it gets very hot. There is no air conditioning and very little ventilation in the rooms. We changed rooms to one downstairs which was slightly better but it was still like a sauna at night. We had had searing temperatures all week in Germany and were hoping...

Have stayed here many times over the years and it is OK/good for a short break. Sadly even the new block does not have air conditioning which was not good with the warm days we had. Rooms are clean but small with lots of beds so I can see why it is popular with school trips. New block bathrooms have...

I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised. The hotel has two very distinctive halves. There is the large dining and games rooms for school groups and in the other half (well away from the groups' area) is a nice dining room and bar. The rooms are better that expected and staff are helpful. All in all very good whether as part...

Stayed in this hotel as part of a group of 108 people who took part in the Menin Gate Last Post Ceremony and also battlefield / cemetery tours in Belgium / France. Great location around 20 minutes walk to the Menin Gate / town square. A taxi from the Menin Gate to the hotel cost around 7 Euros. The hotel...
