Everything about The Main Street Hotel is perfect. From first talking to Carine on the telephone nothing was too much trouble. From welcome drink, through to directions to the various WW1 sites she couldn't have been more helpful. Add to that excellent decor, a complimentary mini bar and top notch breakfast - you couldn't really ask for more. Also perfectly...

Main Street Hotel is very conveniently located in a quiet picturesque street in Ypres city centre. Most places of interest such as Menin Gate, In Flanders Fields Museum and the beautiful Flemish reconstructed city square, are all within easy walking distance. When I was searching for a hotel in Ypres, I was looking for a conveniently located one offering a...

We have just spent our 4th stay at the Main Street Hotel. As usual everything was wonderful - the room, decor, the breakfasts and of course Carine's friendliness, helpfulness, professionalism and recommendations. We just couldn't tear ourselves away and stayed an extra night. Normally we never go back even to the best hotels but Main Street is different and unique...

We booked this hotel at short notice using TA as the guide. What an amazing place. We had the 'Top' room. Love large bed. Nice bathroom with deep 'sit in' bath with waterproof tv & remote!. Fabulous breakfast and great attention from the owner. A great place to stay.

Our flight was delayed which meant we arrived much later than anticipated but nothing was too much trouble for Carine it seemed as she stayed until we arrived and explained everything we needed to know about the area. Complimentary drinks were consumed during this chat. The hotel reception area is comfortable and cozy. When we opened the door to our...

A great hotel following on from Le Macassar as we were visiting the Battlefields. Carine was a charming lady and nothing was too much trouble. Our bedrooms were comfortable, spacious and had everything especially that enormous bath and TV. A bit noisy if you have a front room.

We have just returned home after our third short break at the Main Street hotel and we are delighted to report that the quality of the rooms, breakfasts and hospitality, continue to be maintained to a very high standard. How is this for attention to detail....my wife asked for mint tea whilst I opted for standard breakfast tea. The tea...

From the moment we stepped into the Main Street Hotel and rang the bell at the front desk, we thoroughly enjoyed the service, attention and pure hospitality. Carine. our host, began by offering us our choice of a complimentary drink to start off so I had a beer and my wife a wine and she told us everything about the...

If you are visiting the area, this is the place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble for Carine, including helping you choose and book restaurants. A pleasant walk to the centre and Menin Gate and we found parking easy right outside the Hotel. Great rooms with everything you could ask for. Breakfast was excellent with lots of home baked...

Warm welcome, delightful rooms, 10 minutes walk to the Menin Gate, and the best breakfast in Belgium! Don't miss it. The hotel is small but the character is huge - Carine has created something really special.
