The location of this hotel is almost unbeatable, at the seaside (try of course to have room with seaside view) along the promenade between Oostende and Mariakerke. Breakfast gives good choice and is taken at ground floor level with view on the sea. Room I stayed was huge but quite old, with terrace overlooking the beach. Amenities from Bulgari in...

My wife and I stayed at the Thermae in late September. It's a lovely old hotel with lots of charm and character, it has undergone some renovation and apparently more will take place over the next two years. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the guy who runs the bar/restaurant is a brilliant chap, we had excellent food, drink...

The rooms are larger than most Hotels. Warm bathroom and bath. The view from bedroom was out to ocean and many surfers, kites surfers, sailors, commercial fisher boats, thousands of birds. Our bed was comfortable . Fridge and 2 bathroom decorator mirrors.

the rooms are outdated: worn and stained carpet, worn upholstery on the armchairs, no way you can open the window because the curtains cannot be opened and are stuck to the curtain rail. the bathroom is clean however. Breakfast : no special choice ( price €20), not even champagne on Sunday, no explanation, at 9:55 a very surly older woman...

We attended here for a large family gathering (did not stay, just added the function room). I agree with some of the reviews that's says it looks tired, for the grandness of it it does seem that some areas need a bit of attention. However the function area was lovely and could not fault the staff who were very attentive...

Urgent attention needed to the rooms as they are more basic and worn out that fred flintstones cave house. Hotel is massive with huge long walks to some of the rooms. Restarant was ok but we had a corporate set menu so i cant comment on the standard menu or cost. Bar was ok and a local beer called Bollo*ks...

I visited this hotel for the 3rd time. Especially the location is great since it is located directly near the beach and boulevard. Even though the hotel could use more maintenance it's just wonderful! The rooms are very spacious and well equipped. Staff is friendly. Within 10 minutes you'll find the theatre & casino, restaurants, bars and shops. If you...

Although this old hotel has some charme, the rooms really need an urgent renovation ( see photos). Bed is quite comfortable and matras/pillows almost new. Rooms are big and terrace super ( after also a renovation). Breakfast is ok. But there is also a security issue: the emergency exit plan in the room does NOT show where the room exactly...

Don't waste your time or money on this hotel. The service is appalling, quality rubbish and the rooms are ancient. You can't even call reception from your room so needless to mention how terrible the wifi service is.

A historic building once a palace. Rooms are large but tired, great tv but awful wifi. Breakfast menu never changes, same everyday. Great location on Boardwalk, friendly and helpful staff. So hope it gets upgraded! Great views of the channel and near top class cafes.
