How's that for an opening.. but that's what it is. It is a reasonably modern hotel, but an overhaul is due. I mean standing in a bathtub to take a shower is kinda previous century.

This hotel is situated about 2.5 miles out of Bruges city centre on the edge of a residential and industrial area, but it is far enough off the main road to be quiet. The building is very modern as are the rooms. We eat here...More
Used this hotel for just one night to break the journey. Although the room price was fairly competitive, we were a little disappointed regarding the food and drink prices, especially as they weren't displayed anywhere obvious. We did ask for a wine menu but we...More
This hotel is located 25 minutes walk away from the city centre and is completely off the beaten track. The hotel is clean and presentable and the room was clean and had TV, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer, safe, trouser press/ironing board and plenty of...More

The Velotel has an arrangement with a taxi company which seems a good deal, although we never needed to use it. The deal was in the form of a voucher for which you paid 20Eu at the reception desk. This paid for a taxi to pick you up at the hotel and take you to anywhere in the city. You could then ring them to take you back to the hotel from an agreed pick up point. As the taxis were large people carriers, this deal would be particularly good for a large group and certainly OK for a wheelchair. Perhaps ring the hotel to arrange this for you. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your message. The best way to get to the hotel from the airport, is by public transport. There is a frequent connection between Brussels and Bruges central train station. From the central station, there is a frequent bus that stops in walking distance from the hotel. This is bus Line 3 and the busstop is called Tempelhof.
