The hotel is in a superb location and the staff are so helpful. Nice rooms and a great breakfast buffet.

We have stayed in the Academie before, but this is the first time we have been in the old part of the hotel. The rooms are large and well equipped with fridge, room safe, apart from everything else you would expect.

Third time visiting this beautiful hotel, ground floor room very user friendly, staff helpful and welcoming as always. Loved the little touch of chocolates each day. Nothing was too much trouble. Based on quiet street with lots of pretty tea shops, restaurants etc., so convenient...More
Myself and my partner stayed in the Hotel Academie in Bruges for four nights last week – the hotel is located in a quiet street but it is within a 10/15 minute walk of the train station and all of the attractions in Bruges.
we also left our bags in they're locked baggage area as we arrived about 9am and check in isn't until 3pm.
They also allow you to use the baggage room once you have checked out if your travelling home later.

You really are spoilt for choice here, but, we El Churrasco Argentina. On Valmingstraat, we found this an excellent steak house. Reception will give you a map, you will need to book. There are many restaurants, some good others not so good on the squares. They see many people, service and food can be a bit hit and miss. Can be expensive
They have fast food outlets, gourmet burgers, we found good value
Whatever you do, if you turn right out of the hotel, then look right, do not eat in the Chinese - terrible Go left, and follow the map directions to the main square.
There are 2/3 little restaurants in in your St, and one next to the Hotel entrance.
Enjoy your stay, the breakfast is excellent.
