We've just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. Reception staff gave us a warm welcome and provided us with a map of the city and information. Our room was large and comfortable. The bed was enormous!! There was a table and arm chairs so you could sit comfortably. The TV received BBC 1 and 2! Breakfast was...

This hotel is in reasonable distance walking from the railway station (10-15 mins) with luggage, and once there, within easy walking distance into the city. Our room on the second floor was good; large bed, good bathroom, and quiet - everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was very good, a little expensive perhaps, but worth it. Decent selection of beers...

On our last visit to Bruges, fifteen years ago, we stayed at the Academie and were delighted to find it is just as good as we remembered. Such a great location, in a quaint, quiet cobbled street but just a short stroll from the famous squares. We travelled by rail and the hotel is really convenient for Bruges Railway Station....

Amazing location. Close to everything. We stayed two nights. The only downside to the hotel is that we requested a refrigerator, which we got, for our daughter's medicine. Although plugged in, it was hot and kept getting hotter. Thus losing all of our daughter's prescription. Otherwise a good hotel.

My fiancé decided to treat me for my birthday to a weekend in Brugge, unsure and what to expect she booked based on the reviews on trip adviser! How right she was, this hotel knocks socks off most 4* in England! From the first moment the staff greet you with the most warmest welcome, to check in through to the...

Excuse the mess, as took pics after a few nights staying. Great hotel with a certain charm, has a gym (which we didn't use, too much beer, if that's a thing), employees very friendly and helpful. Great selection at breakfast and great location. Near to bars, restaurants and all the places you want to see. Highly recommend.

We stayed, as a group of 25, for three nights (8-11 March) and all of us found the Academie an excellent place to stay. My wife was the group leader and she received nothing but positive feedback about the hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable; the breakfasts were out of this world; the staff were friendly and helpful,...

A thoroughly well designed, peaceful hotel within easy walking distance of everything you need - main sights, canals, shops and cafes. On arrival everything was incredibly clean and in good order. The buffet breakfast in a modern dining room with a brick vaulted ceiling is excellent. Inexplicably our room wasn't cleaned at all on our second day. A minor lapse...

We have just returned from a weekend break. Upon arrival the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Bed huge and very comfortable. Breakfast excellent with everything you could wish for, including smoked salmon and sparkling wine. Hotel very well placed in a quiet street but only a few minutes' walk from the...
