We were taking friends to visit Brugge and so decided to stay over one night. I was looking for a fairly nice - cheap and cheerful hotel, at a low price as we were just staying one night. The hotel itself is not bad - at least for a three star. Our room was nice and clean, it's 3mins walk...

We stayed at the Hans Memling for three nights in December 2006 and weren't very impressed at all. The fact that it's not far from the Market Square is one of the few things it's got going for it. The door to our room didn't open fully as there was a wardrobe in the way and the bathroom door was...

After a horrible experience with our hotel in Brussels we were welcomed and made felt at home by the staff even we were at the hotel at 11:30. They immediately arranged that we can book in early and made sure we were able to relax and enjoy Brugge. As other reviews stated the rooms needs a bit of overhaul but...

Stayed here in February last year, the public rooms are fine but the bedrooms most definately need a refurb, any original ceiling decoration being covered by a very dated suspended ceiling. Breakfast was plentifull and a wide choice, plus the staff were very helpful. I can understand the comments about the noise as is in quite a noisy area just...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in Nov. 2006. It was a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff were very friendly. The conceirge recommended places to visit and over-priced restaurants to avoid. The hotel is right next to the main square, and very close to all of Brugge's attractions. We stayed on the...

We stayed at this hotel on Sept 4th for 2 nights. We were a little worried after reading the mixed reviews. It was noisy outside really due to some roadworks right alongside the hotel during the day.At night it was a little noisy but it is just off the main square so what can you expect? Our room was very spacious...

The Hans Memling Hotel was the only negative of our trip. We stayed there on October 10 and 11 2006. I am used to 2 star Best Western Hotels in the States, so my expectations are not very high. The first room they showed us was on the 2nd (1st there) floor, with sidewalk construction directly below the window. We...

The reviews of this hotel have been so mixed but I love it. Its rooms are a little tired, but full of character. The lift is ancient but certainly not a death trap and personally I don't want to see everywhere resemble a motorway travelodge. I like the dark wood stairs and the unlevel floors, the trapdoors in the ceilings...

Stayed at this hotel with my husband. It was clean, quiet and most importantly very close to the markt (main square). It was really handy for all the sights. The staff were really helpful and breakfast was good.

Our weekend in Bruges was totally ruined by staying at this hotel, I picked it for the location which did appear to be very good and while the rooms are a bit small it was clean. The first problem was the lift which is a death trap as it has no protective inside door, don't allow your kids anywhere near...
